I chose Swank because it's a faith-based business, and I loved that their website shared not only their values but also the stylists' bios and photos. Everyone looked like they genuinely enjoyed working together, which gave me confidence. I booked with Avery, and I couldn't have made a better choice! I hadn't had a haircut since Covid, so my hair was long, fine, thin, and very straggly. Avery greeted me warmly and helped me get settled (I'm currently in a wheelchair, and the salon was very easy to access and navigate). She listened carefully as I explained my concerns about my hair being thin and falling out despite supplements and oils. She shared her own experience with hair loss after Covid and recommended a product that helped her. Seeing her gorgeous, healthy hair gave me hope! We also discussed shampoos for frizz and fullness, and she suggested one she personally uses. She cut my hair and it was absolutely FANTASTIC. My hair feels lighter, fuller and looks great. I couldn't be more pleased. On top of that, I learned she also does wedding hair and makeup--which is perfect, since she'll now be doing mine next year! The atmosphere at the salon was welcoming--Courtney even chatted with me when I arrived and while I checked out, which was a sweet touch. Even though it was later in the day, I felt like I got the full experience. Highly recommend Swank Hair Studio to anyone new in town or looking for a fresh, friendly, faith-filled salon experience! I cannot say enough about Swank.

Worst hair cut and root touch up experience of my life. Stylist was not at all friendly - didn't…read moresay much more than just hello. When it was time to wash out the color, she yelled from the other side of the salon that she was ready for me. I should have left then - but I didn't and she butchered my hair so badly that I tear up every time I look in the mirror. Cut off about 4 inches when I said I just wanted 2 inches, and cut uneven layers in my very thin hair. The root touch up looks like someone dumped brown paint on the top of my head - not blended in, color is too dark. Unless you get a personal recommendation for a particular stylist, I'd be wary. Now I have to try to find someplace else where I can go to get it fixed.

Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5…read moreValue: 5/5 ----- Recently, my stylist (Lindsey) moved here, and so I had to come visit and leave a review! I've reviewed her before, but long story short -- there are only about a billion good things to say. Headwaves has a model where each stylist has a little station within the salon, and they manage their own schedules and are generally more independent than at other salons. I personally love that model, because the service you get feels more personal. It's definitely a lot quieter and less busy than a lot of other salons that are open-plan layouts, so if you love that, this is the place for you! I love knowing that everything I pay for at the end of my visit goes directly to my stylist. I've been with Lindsey for years, all through college and now grad school, and even though I live in Dallas, I only schedule hair appointments when I know I'll be home in Little Rock. I've followed her to this new salon, and I would follow her anywhere! She's so good at knowing what I prefer, what looks good on me, what products are best for my hair, etc. We do cut and color almost every time, and I think she does a great job at balancing trying new things so I don't fall into a rut with my hair, while still keeping the basics strong. She's also great at helping me find products that work well and are worth their price tag. I would LOVE if she decided to relocate to Dallas, but for now, I'll keep making the 5 hour drive.

After my review I saw how another girl got her hair chopped off by same person!!! Amanda does not need to be cutting hair at all!!!! I asked for blond came out w Browm - she is so unprofessional not only did she not dry my hair before I left - never had a salon not dry my hair - but her response to my hair not being blond was " as days goes by it will get blonder." Like what? Dumbest thing I ever heard and what a scam ! The owner of this shop saw what she did and ONLY tried to cover up her mistakes - girls - guys - save ur money and ur hair - my hair was thick and beautiful- now I hardly have any. This place should not be open If I can give no stars that's Exactly what this place gets - false advertising and lies about their stylist - the owner who new and is ok with her doing this - you should be ashamed
