Please do not go here! I went for a pedicure and gel extensions. Worst pedicure of my life! The nail tech told me she was hungover. She skipped filing my nails and did nothing with my cuticles. Polish was sloppy and all over the skin surrounding the nails. The gel extensions are not much better. They look so bad. So sloppy. I have also had a haircut at this salon. That was bad also. I asked for my hair to be cut to right about my shoulders. Instead, my hair stops right under my ears. These people should not be allowed to run a salon. Unprofessional and terrible work. For the record this is about a Brazilian so if you don't want to hear about the nitty gritty of that experience don't read this. The salon is big, bright clean and busy. All good things. The waxing room is at the back, oddly shaped but a decent size and pretty typical. Rebecca (don't quote me on that name) was my waxer, she is very soothing and nice and likes to incorporate crowd participation. She has you pull back your skin as she yanks, she thinks having some control of the process makes it less painful. Let's be honest, you're ripping all the hairs out of my lady pocket, nothing short of full blown anesthesia is going to make this go any better for me. She is quick and pleasant and even did a clean up with tweezers at the end. I was happy. Until I got the mirror and got real personal with myself. I didn't just pay 80 american dollars for you to not do everything. A Brazilian is not just a glorified bikini waxing, it is supposed to leave me bald as Telly Savalas. This one didn't. I've had cheaper, better, and more complete waxes everywhere else I've been. Lesson learned, make my appointment far enough in advance that I can go to my first choice (MC Hair in Cuyahoga Falls) rather than jumping on this. Let me reiterate, for what she waxed she was thorough, but neglecting to wax everything is not going to work for me. read more

The salon is moving locations to Whipple Rd in order to further spoil it's patrons by fancier amenities in September 2012. I wish I would of seen the yelp reviews before coming here! Now I warn you, I wouldn't be considering this place to get your hair done. Honestly, find somewhere better! Pros: From the looks, it looks like a good place to come and get a new haircut. Plus it's super friendly. Cons:You come out regretting you ever trusted them with your locks, and it's WAY over priced. My hair stylist was Michelle, and despite all the praise she seems to get for her "great haircuts," I'd have to disagree. Maybe it was a bad day? Who knows. What I do know is I'm not coming back. Let me start off with the good part. Everyone here is super friendly, with a ready smile and a very accomodating demeanor. I found them on yelp, and being one of the few places in the area that actually had reviews, I decided to go to them. I went for a manicure and an eye brow wax (they have a promo for a free one with any service, so...score!). I brought my fiancé along and he asked for a pedicure. This review will obviously not have anything to do with hair, which seemed to be what most people go there for. The eye brow wax was nice. The lady who did mine explained what she was doing, why she was doing it, and when she was about to do something. No complaints there, but even the most amazing brow wax could not help the less than average nail job we got. So here goes the bad part... While the lady who did mine made me feel like I had just made a new friend, it was also exactly like I had just asked one of my girlfriends to give me a manicure. It was pretty crappy. She didnt clean my cuticles and pretty much left the hangnails....hanging. I also noticed they didnt have the manicure stuff wrapped in those sanitary wraps. I keep telling myself they probably had them soaking in some anti-bacterial solution, but then I didnt see that either. Then she gave me some version of a hand massage that mostly felt like how my fiancé would play with my hands over a candle-lit dinner, except... you know... it wasnt. She then proceeded to paint the tips on. First off, the brush was too thick for a french tip, (although she insisted it was the nail polish that was too thick), the result was kind of a clump of white paint that sort of looked like white out just sitting at the tips of my nails. It was horrible. She said she was going to clean it up after and that it would look perfect. But then she started painting the clear coat and the white-out-esque paint was still there! At this point, I just knew she couldnt do a french so i just asked her to do a solid color. Well, she did better, but honestly, I couldve done it myself and wouldve gotten the same result. This was no professional nail job, if I'm being honest. Ive gotten better from the express nail places in New York that has you in and out in less than half an hour for $15 with tip. I dont even know how much the manicure was but they charged us $55 for mine and my fiancés pedicure, which, by the way, he gets for the foot rub. Sadly, he wasnt impressed by that either. In his own words, "it wasnt even halfway decent." I really wanted to give this place at least a three star because everybody was just so nice, but I wouldnt be doing anybody a favor. I've been going regularly to this salon for a men's haircut (by Michelle) for about half a year now, and I've been very pleased by the quality and consistency of the haircuts I've received (which have also been exactly the type of haircut I've asked for). Additionally, everybody has been very friendly, the salon is new and quite nice, and the price has been pretty great ($19 + tip for my haircuts) for the area and quality. I've been going here for a little over a year. I have to say, I really enjoy this salon. I see Nicole for my hair and she does an excellent job. Definitely listens to what I have to say when it comes to my hair. I've also gone to get my eyebrows waxed and it's always been great. Sarah R. has been doing my nails and hair for awhile now. She listens to what I want and directs me as needed. She is always flexible and has accommodated my occasional desperate attempts to get in before a certain date for some special occasion. I always feel more beautiful leaving than when I walked in the door. My daughter has seen Emily (as have I for a great updo!) for her hair and we could not be more pleased. I gave them one star because it was a friendly environment but worst pedicure i ever got nail polish was chipped the next day and by the end of week it looked horrible and overly prized like there trying to be a high in salon. I paid twice as much for a horrible paint job and i guess it was the express pedicure because it was pretty quick. read more

Very friendly staff, however, I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received! I bought a groupon for a basic mani-pedi. I was told during my pedi that "my feet weren't bad" despite not having a pedicure in well over 3 years. She barely scrubbed them, certainly not enough to do anything. Surprise surprise my feet are still rough! I was then talked into upgrading to shellac polish instead of the basic manicure because it was supposed to last 2 weeks. Less than 48 hours later I was already experiencing some major chipping. I was on vacation at this point so it wasn't as if I had my hand in water for long periods of time like I normally would at home. So I spent the next three days with the polish chipping constantly then on the 6th day of this 14 day manicure I couldn't take it anymore and peeled the remaining 4-5 nails off. Now my nail beds are dry and peeling lol. I am so disappointed with this service. I am very particular about what I put on my nails because I have natural nails and I trusted Nicole with the shellac and it turned out to be nothing more than a gimmick. First things first, I am an African American female and I was looking for a salon where they would be able to relax, cut and style my hair. While I was looking for a place that offered this, I came across Salon Kisha. I went to the website to see what all they offered, and I read that they do relaxers. Instantly excited, I gave them a call. I asked how much it'll cost if I were to get my hair relaxed, cut and styled. Before I could finish asking the receptionist said "I don't think we do that here" and hung up. Confused as to why she hung up so abruptly, I began to think. So I decided to write this review. First impressions are EVERYTHING, especially when considering placing your hair in the care of someone else. Not only did they falsely advertise their services, the receptionist was rude, instead of checking to see if they did do relaxers, she dismissed my question and hung up. read more
