He is the absolute best stylist I have ever had do my hair from anywhere I have ever lived including Philadelphia where I paid 4 times as much for a lesser quality haircut. I trust Chris implicitly to take care of my hair and I have never once been disappointed or remorse. He is truly a hair artist. The receptionist didn't make any calls to indicate they actually tried hard to find someone else. They advertise walk-ins so this was very disappointing seeing as I had an appointment, and have a health issue that prohibits me from driving so I had to take a day off of work, work out a ride, and have an event tomorrow which is why I made my appt for that day/time. On top of that, I was not offered parking validation (which they normally do), so I ended up paying for no services provided.

I've heard great things so I was excited for the day of my appointment. The parking lot is small but it has plenty of parking so no need to worry there. Joy greeted me as soon as I walked in. I tried to explain what I wanted my hair to look like, a task that's harder then you would think. She got it and OMG did my hair look amazing. If you're blonde, or light DO NOT go to Jenny or Lily. i came into the salon to get my medium brown roots touched up to match my platinum blonde hair. I had an appointment with Lily and left with yellow, uneven roots, and pretty intense banding especially around my hairline. I then contacted the salon by phone and had no response for 3 phone calls. I live nearby so i drove over. I definitely was upset and had an attitude but even from the start i was just trying to kinda laugh through it and i had a very aggressive worker named i believe John (who is not a colorist) continuously tell me me what my hair needs, as well as say to me "they aren't just gonna give you a refund because you don't like your hair now." and after some choice words on both ends i was told to not come back. I then left obviously, got a text from Jenny to fix it (even though i just wanted a refund) and came in the next day to fix it. Jenny did a much better job, but not a good one. The color i was left with was this pastel yellow roots and banding, as well as uneven from front to back. I do also believe my hair was styled to conceal the banding and unevenness. I texted and called to no response for days. I bought a red ken purple shampoo and conditioner (which i was also later recommended to get a purple shampoo to "fix the fixed hair" and the shampoo definitely didn't take well to the roots, obviously not their fault, but you can visibly see the levels of blonde are different (rest of photos) especially towards and front and sideburns. the salon was closed until tuesday (it's currently thursday) and after calling yesterday 10 times due to no one responding to a single call or text message, as well as the door being locked at 11am when they are open from 10-5 with no explanation. (i believe the number is automated for texts) I finally got a call back today where i was told i could either have them tone it, dye my roots back to my brown color also done by them, or i could essentially just forget about it. I was also told by the owner that I was harassing them, and that a police officer client was there while i was calling (yet they still couldn't answer) and told them it was harassment. So not only essentially threatening me with that, saying they had it all on cameras and body also felt like a threat so now i can't go back in the owner also blurted out she'd refund only my tip and then she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone afterwards. I was beyond willing to work with them, and even gave them a second chance but why would i go back to have them fix it when they've screwed it up 2 times?? BEYONDDDDD unprofessional.

She completely ruined my mom's hair and gave her a tangy orange brassy color. We asked her to fix it. She put toner again and said that's the best she can do. When I proceeded to tell her it's brassy and nothing like the picture, she said that's the best she can do and she missed dinner with her husband and kid - mind you while we are staring at my moms brassy ruined hair? Mind you I was there from 11:30 am until 5 pm and in the end she absolutely ruined my mom's hair and got it nowhere near the highlights she wanted. I gave her a piece of advice to next time refuse the service if she cannot do it. My mom paid over 200 for someone to play around and attempt to get the color she wanted. She then told us to leave and never come back again and started yelling and crashing out right after we paid. Absolutely disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! Absolutely disgusting people. DO NOT GO HERE. Also believe the other reviews when they say they're aggressive. They are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. Extremely low class behavior. Save your time, money, and energy. Most importantly save your hair.

She's very knowledgable having been schooled in beauty in both China and the US. She brings techniques to the table that others don't use, and is very quick. She is the owner of the salon and her prices are very reasonable which is a key factor in why I continue to come here. The salon itself could use some sprucing up, it's generic and has alot of unused space. It'd like to see some decor or something done to elevate it a bit. What falls short for me is that Li is so fast that the experience feels rushed and not relaxed. Also because she moves so fast she sometimes wacks me in the head with the blow dryer and splashes water on my face at the shampoo bowl. Overall the entire process feels a bit rough. A few times I've left without being styled because "she didn't have time", or left not satisfied with the styling as it lacked volumn and product. She does give a solid, layered cut, and has reasonable prices so I'll tolerate the negatives.....for now.

Walking into Mulberry Salon it is just so cozy in there. Big wooden mirrors that give a very rustic vibe, and good luck finding a sweeter gal than Amanda who greets you so kindly every time you walk in the door. (Love her). Add on top of that these top-notch stylists and it's just a recipe for success. They have a stylist for every hair type and any time I go in those girls are all in there crushing it, creating magic. She worked absolute miracles and I fully trusted her to do whatever she thought would be best for my hair and style. There's a small parking lot in the back, along with a bit of street parking in front. They have some products for sale in the store but I believe if there was something in particular you liked they could give you the name or order it for you. Everyone greets you when you walk in and on my first visit I got a tour. They offer drinks during your appointment. Every shampoo includes a scalp massage that will have you drifting off to sleep. It's important to walk into a salon and feel comfortable so that you can confidently describe what you want. The price was about $100 cheaper than i've usually paid in the past. For highlights, lowlights, and a trim, my total was $90!!!!! I am screaming with happiness and staring at my receipt in disbelief!!! Also the products they use support keeping local farmers in business and it's all natural ingredients.
