She made me really nervous when she said she had to dry staighten my hair just to see it so she could cut it. I wish I would not of tipped her, but I really like the owner. Otherwise I would not of. My hair was very uneven and the way she styled it looked horrible, never once asked how I would like it styled or does this style work for me. I had several people comment on how uneven my hair was, I just wanted to cry. What made me the maddest besides my hair being uneven, is I had to go someplace else to get my hair evened out. Mandy Jo performed the lash lift/tint and my lashes turned out amazing. My lashes really pop out now, all while staying natural because they're my real lashes! Where do I begin with my review on the lovely Orange Spice Salon...I guess I'll just start from the…read morebeginning. I was having a pretty miserable day. I was completely sleep deprived, upset and cold. (Like most college students.) I was in some desperate need of pampering or a nap; I decided to go with the former. I had my hair dyed about 4 months ago and I was due for a touch up. I'm new here to Ellensburg so I wasn't quite sure where to go. On my way home, I remembered there's a salon right across the street from my house, (how convenient.) I walked right in and was instantly impressed. The atmosphere was exquisite and very welcoming. The salon had very pretty music playing in the background and a nice scented candle to go with it. I was already excited. I waited about 5 seconds admiring the salon until a very chic woman with fantastic hair came up and greeted me. I asked her about getting a partial foil and what her prices were. She told me $65.00 (great deal!) My search was over and I decided to make an appointment. We introduced ourselves and she told me her name was Mary and that this was her salon. I was already getting a great vibe from her and feeling very comfortable. I was able to make an appointment for that same day about 40 minutes later. Perfect. When I came back everything was set up and ready to go. I'm usually pretty nervous about getting my hair cut or dyed, but Mary just oozed knowledge on the subject so I knew I was in good hands. Mary gave me a great deal on a partial foil and we quickly got started. We had a wonderful chat while she carefully dyed my hair, no awkward long silent moments whatsoever. About 30-40 minutes later she was all finished. Mary handed me some magazines while we waited for my hair dye to sink in. A few minutes later after she washed it out, she revealed to me my newly dyed, wet hair. I was already excited. It looked great! I couldn't wait to see it dry. Mary and I decided on trimming my bangs and touching up my layers a bit. She mentioned to possibly make the bangs a little shorter. I had complete faith in her decision and let her continue. They ended up looking great! She gave me fantastic hair tips while also giving me a sexy styled 'doo' before I left. When I saw the finished product I had butterflies in my stomach and I couldn't stop smiling. I was so happy with my new cut and blonde hair. I couldn't help but give Mary a big hug before I left. Not only do I now possess amazing blonde hair, but I have also gained a new friend. Mary is hands down the friendliest and most experienced hair stylist that I've ever encountered. I highly, highly recommend you visit her at the Orange Spice Salon. THANK YOU MARY!!!!! :)
