She told me she could do it, but unfortunately, it became clear during the haircut that she did not know how to achieve the style. She cut my hair short and then tried to use a hairdryer and comb to make it look like the pictures, but it did not work. I showed her the reference photos again and asked if she could get help from someone else. She asked a colleague, who showed her how to cut the style, but she still seemed unsure how to do it. Eventually, the owner had to step in and finish the haircut for me. For a long-hair haircut that cost about $100 total ($85 for the haircut plus a $15 tip), I was very disappointed with the experience. At this price point, I expected the stylist to be able to achieve the hairstyle she had confirmed she could do, or to be upfront from the beginning if it was outside her expertise. Unfortunately, based on my experience, it was not worth the price or time.

So I have to admit,i did read the reviews and although there are many good reviews theres a few not so good ones too..so i got worried but I thought you know I have these groupon voucher for Brazilian blowout and Balayage and none of the reviews are really about the hair they were about the running late or something like that so I thought I'm gonna give it a go. Now im a very punctual person but the traffic that morning was out of control and I was actually very late to the salon. Matthew was so good about it I was so embarrassed but he took me and feel comfortable. So as I said I had to Brazilian blowout and the color highlights Matthew did both of them the same he did a remarkable job was actually three weeks ago since I had this done and I wanted to make sure the Brazilian lasted for a review.Matthew applied the Brazilian Blowout very different to what I used to but it was fantastic I love results he explained everything I absolutely love my color and I've been doing the Brazilian Blowout for years now and the way Matthew's turned out ...i will definitely be back...he did it in half the time that it has ever taken and its the best one so far. when he's next client showed up and because of me was going to be late for her..Matthew excused himself and went to let her know he was running late and he didn't even blame it on me...which he should have. Being my first time writing a review know that It must be worth me doing so. My friend and I bought one of those living socials deals,I got the highlights or balayage and my friend the Brazilian blowout. They were both done my Matthew G at salon DNA. Now I've read the reviews on here and besides the fact that this guy Matthew was sick for a few days and who wants a stylist doing your hair breathing the flu or whatever on you.. No thankyou ... I'll go for the non sick stylist who is functioning any day. Anyway I'm so so blown away.. My color is the best I could have ever asked for.. I didn't think it was even possable to get it looking so natural.. Matthew painted the stuff on with a brush and was so attentive to my requests. The salon is clean bright you even have a Victoria secret playing in the background. I love my new salon I will most definitely will be back.. Oh and my friend who has the curly hair from ... I was referred over for a microdermabrasion by one of my co-workers. Greice performed an exceedingly wonderful job on her and I thought I'd give it a try. I cannot say enough positive things about Greice. She was wonderful!!!. She is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. I have been to several places and trust me this by far the best. She does not pressure you into buying their products. She knows what she is doing and she explains what she is actually putting on your face how it works. It was a very relaxing environment. You even get a massage along with the facial/microdermabrasion package. After several sessions with Greice I felt a true difference with my face texture. It was evenly smoothed out. Thanks Greice. Moving to a new city sucks..Finding a new stylist sucks even more...I bought one of those Living Social deals for a Brazilian Blowout at Salon Dna with Matthew G...The salon was clean and Matthew although was running a bit late he came over to introduce himself to me and said he was going to be at least 10 more min and to my surprise i was in his chair 10 min later.i must admit i was not really looking forward to getting my Brazilian Blowout done....They take so long and they're so boring yet but my time with Matthew was so fun and he did such an amazing job I love my hair its soft shiny no frizz and all in less than 2 hrs...I so so happy I've found my new salon and stylist...yeaaa read more

I got my first haircut at this salon a few ago because it was recommended to me. I'm always nervous about new places and was getting anxious as Diego was cutting my hair, scared that maybe he didn't know what he was doing. But all of a sudden it started looking cool. He didn't rush and was very focused on detail, as this shade cut is very intricate. My husband sure was impressed, claiming this was one of my best cuts ever (in the seven years we've been together). What a cool place. I too came in via Groupon. I had a cut by Leslie, I went in with adverage passable hair, came out with a fresh edgy cut. Great Job Leslie! You never know with these things. Going to a new place especially a hair salon for the 1st time... can go either way. I am glad Groupon featured these guys. I will be back. Oh, and by the way I am a pain myself. Adelice is the best hair dresser in the city. It's been 5 years that I do my hair with her and every time she surprises me of how wonderful my hair gets. I usually do keratin treatment and even though I have a very curly hair it gets as straight and shining as possible. I had the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon. I genuinely cannot recommend this salon based on how I was treated. I booked a **partial highlight**, meaning only around the crown of my head would be highlighted. I have long, thick hair, but because I only get partial highlights, this has never been an issue with any stylist I've seen before. From the moment I arrived, Gina was rude and dismissive. As soon as she touched my hair, she laughed and made faces at a coworker in the mirror. She told me I should have informed her that my hair was this long. She told me she didn't want to talk to me and handed me a magazine instead. When I asked, "So you don't want to talk to me during this whole appointment?" she responded, "Honestly, no." We then sat in complete silence for the next hour and a half. The comments only became more insulting from there. While washing my hair, she repeatedly told me how desperately I needed a haircut and made negative remarks about my hair. As she brushed it, she laughed and said she had "never seen someone's hair so matted before." She also commented that whatever "cheap" hair products I was using, I needed to stop. I explained that I was happy to brush my own hair and that my hair only becomes tangled after bleach is applied, which has been my experience after every highlighting appointment. She simply laughed and said, "We can agree to disagree," and continued making comments about my hair, saying she had never seen anyone's hair like mine. At one point, I genuinely asked how long it normally takes her to do her own hair because 2.5 hours felt like a long time for a partial highlight To her. Instead of answering my question professionally, she responded, "We're not all robots, hun." To make matters worse, she then told me that if I wanted my hair blow-dried, I would have to pay extra, even though blow-drying was supposed to be included in the $250 service I booked. She also said, in a confrontational tone, that she only wanted to dry my roots because her job is "actually rewarding, believe it or not." What upset me the most was that I gave her an opportunity at the very beginning of the appointment to decline the service if my hair was more work than she expected. Instead, she chose to proceed while making degrading comments and treating me disrespectfully throughout the appointment. I have been getting my hair highlighted for years and have never experienced anything remotely close to this. Every other stylist I've seen has been kind, professional, and respectful, regardless of my hair length or thickness. This was, without question, the most unprofessional, rude, and childish salon experience I have ever had. I will never return and would not recommend this salon to anyone looking to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

I was confused at first because it's one salon that has several different smaller businesses inside with sliding glass doors. I walked in and was offered a drink immediately. I had an appointment with Brandon and 4pm. I walked in at 4 and he was still working on the person before me. I was okay with that because he was taking his time to make sure the customer was satisfied and he only took an extra 7-10 minutes. I've been getting my hair done at a $15 place and thought that I needed to get it nicely done this time around especially since I haven't gotten my hair cut in 7ish months. First off, he took time and washed my hair was superior products than what I use. Although, I think everything has to be better than a giant tub of Costco brand shampoo and conditioner. I got side swept bangs and a little bit of layering in the front. He also did a dry cut after to make sure everything was beautiful. He also gave me great tips on how to keep my hair pretty and natural. The cut is expensive for me but it was completely worth it. He took his time and I came out with a professional looking cut. Long cuts are $80. Because I was a first time customer, Brandon's partner and business associate gave me a 20% discount. I saw 3 returning customers there during my cut. It was pretty amazing considering there were only 2 chairs and I was there for 1 1/2 hours. I will be returning.
