I came in for a color and cut with Marisa a week ago. I wanted to get rid of some leftover babylights and go back to my brown hair. She color matched me and showed me that I was between a brown and a deep, almost black brown. I told her I wanted to be safe and choose the brown color. She told me she was going to mix in a little bit of the darker color to match it better so I trusted her and agreed thinking it would be a dark brown like my roots. When all was said and done, I was left with black/blue hair. I am way too pale for this to be like my natural color. It's even darker than my work scrubs. I called the next day and asked for tips on how to remedy this. I was told "they did use a developer which was too dark" and to wash my hair everyday and as a last resort to try Dawn dish soap. I did it all to no avail. I gave them another chance and called back to see if there was a safe way for them to fix it and if not, I would like a refund. They came back with "Marisa said that's the color you both agreed upon, but we can give you a partial refund of half the price you paid". I paid a couple hundreds plus tip for a service I hate. I really wanted to just remedy the situation and give them a chance to fix it because Marisa's always done a good job and I truly liked this salon, but I won't be returning now. I spent in excess of $300 for cut, color and highlights. I have shoulder length layered hair with bangs. My hair was butchered and uneven. The color matching was not great. Very disappointing experience overall. Three weeks later I visited a stylist I knew from out of state when on vacation and she was shocked at the cut I received. Worst salon experience I have ever had. The girl completely chopped the front right side of my hair when she was supposed to give medium layers. It looks like I have 2 different hair cuts.. needless to say I'm letting it grow out. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm mortified. Should have listened to the bad reviews.. Also the staff at the greeting desk was not very kind. Made me feel like I was annoying them by showing up for my appointment. Overall just not a welcoming good experience. From the moment I walked in, to the horrendous hair cut. Even though my stylist was very nice. She definitely was not experienced. That's for sure based on my hair cut. This was such a belittling experience. I had an appointment with Angie and when I sat down in her chair for a partial highlight and low lights, she seemed confused on how to perform her job. She asked her neighboring stylist to look at my hair to tell her what colors to mix. Angie started to tell me that due to the damage in my hair that my hair could potentially melt off. Unannounced, she pulled a strand of hair out of my scalp and snapped it in half to somehow demonstrate that my hair was damaged but I still don't understand what she was trying to prove. All hair breaks under tension. I backed out of the appointment because Angie had zero confidence in her skills and abilities to do a highlight without melting my hair off. My hair is not damaged, I do have some postpartum breakage but not due to anything else. I was so offended by her lack of professionalism. The front desk booked me an appointment later the same day with Walter, who I was told was more experienced with blonds. I reluctantly made the appointment. A few hours later I get a phone call from the front desk that Walter is "not comfortable" keeping the appointment with me and he is cancelling. Walter NEVER looked at my hair but was making this decision. Angie sabotaged my ability to get my hair done from someone else at their salon. Rude, offensive, unprofessional stylists! I immediately spoke to a manager who was very apologetic and he offered to do a strand test to see how my hair would grab the chemicals. I said no thanks, that's not necessary. It was such an awful experience, I couldn't consciously give them my money but they did refund my deposit. I got into another salon that day and the hair stylist asked me "do you have naturally wavy hair?" And I told her "yes". She said "any hair stylist with a brain can see your hair is NOT damaged, you dried it straight and it's textured from your natural hair style". So not only are the stylists there extremely belittling, they lack the experience to identify the difference in wavy hair and damaged hair. read more

Made an appointment one week ahead for Veronica for Saturday, August 18 and the receptionist acted like I was interrupting her party. She did not write down my appointment. I was prepared to get my hair cut today, called to confirm appointment and the receptionist told me I did not have an appointment. I attempted to speak to Veronica to no avail, I gave the receptionist my phone number and she was not even competent to write down my phone number. Rudeness. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my hair. The front office staff is always welcoming and they are so helpful if I have to change my appointment time. I visited Tatianna today for a BIG CHANGE and she killed it! My hair was down to my lower back and all one dark shade, we cut to about upper mid-chest and added in beautiful brown dimension! I've loved my hair after every appointment I've had with her. She is the sweetest and does an excellent job. She listens to exactly what you want, takes the time to look at any photos you bring in and she's honest about how your hair will turn out! She's wonderful! I went in for a consult and specifically asked for a person who has had experience in dying curly hair. I showed her a picture of the balayage I wanted and she quoted me $206 and said no problem. I went in for my appointment and left with highlights that I didn't ask for and no balayage. I went in for a second appointment in hopes to correct the mistakes made and get what I asked for. Still left with something completely different then what I asked for. I had to go to another hair stylist and ask for the him to dye my hair back to the original color and pay another $25. I'm going to put the first line at this to save you from reading the entirety of my rant but please do; DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I was new to corpus and needed to freshen my precious platinum waist length highlights. I went into this salon at a recommendation no less (and first of all I had to sign a waiver so first hint) and then the women I saw (blonde headed curly, literally avoid her at all cost the fact that she is even still licensed is beyond me) she started by asking me what I wanted etc. I showed her pictures and then she started to ask me how she should achieve that look...forgive me but is that not her job...I was so dumb struck I didn't know how to answer like "put some dye in a bowl and mix it" and she went on to tell me it was impossible when literally I wanted to touch up my roots my hair has been dyed the same way since I was 16. Then she started dyeing it...I knew she really fcked up when she left me in the shampoo bowl for over an hour and kept rechecking it...she dyed it fcking grandma grey not even cool hip this in kinda grey just straight up I'm a grandma with the best part a big patch of orange on the top...good bye platinum and hello hot roots. Then she took a god dmn straight razor picked up my hair and said "is this where you want it cut, and hacked it tf off. Good by long locks. Hello damaged razor cut hair..bc razors give you texture but layers don't according to her..only two layers in the front so I had an uneven razor cut orange and grey hair cut. I hated myself more than when I went in there and I went for the little boost I needed. I tried to live with it and then I called and told them they needed to fix it. And they told me I had to pay!!! I pitched a fit and they said well fine you have to pay to blow dry it...to fcking blow dry it?? So I have to leave with wet hair when you did this. So when I went to have them fix it, the girl that fixed it, asked her boss for help and together the two of them dyed my god dmn hair from orange to purple which faded to orange again two days later due to their cheap products... I finally went to another salon a few weeks later and had to get more chopped off and redyed which by the way it's now a short choppy bob because of that horrible cut the First Lady gave me evening that out was a bitch and and the best part the orange halo is still there.... it's literally irreparable. But Here's the real kicker The girl that started cutting my hair at the new salon I went to had a funny orange halo...she asked me where I went and had my hair fckd up at...I told her SALON DIVINE. She said "no fcking way do you see this orange sht in my hair...my wedding is in two weeks and I went there twice...they did this. They use cheap products and none of them know what they're doing and they ask each other for help" it is literally the blind leading the blind there just avoid it it should be shut down. You're suppose to give people self confidence and took every shred of mine. You people can burn in hell. They took my beautiful long platinum hair and turned it into a grungy ugly bob read more

I got a haircut and balayage from Amanda and couldn't be happier with the results!! It was the first time I ever got my hair colored and Amanda made me comfortable through the entire process. She was super willing to explain what she was doing and gave great recommendations for keeping the color. Would definitely recommend to others! read more
