The cut is nice, if anything, I might return to get more layers, just testing it out. She was nice and slow with me, because she knew how nervous long hair folk get with mighty changes I guess. I booked way in advanced and I was happy I was able to allign this appointment with others in the same day. The only thing I don't like is their product line, since I'm looking for a good shampoo & conditioner, but am having a hard time, since it's my first time going salon quality. I tried looking at the distributors section, but didn't like the ingredients. I noticed that this salon didn't have the same product, but I also don't like the ingredients. I do like how my hair feels after they use it on me, but I'm scared what will happen if I use it myself on a regular basis, and it's just too expensive to experiment with. Montreal is a funny place but I will keep looking for new products, however my caregivers will remain here :)

coupons and customers!…read more I arrived, coupon in hand, (paid $40.00) and requested what was on print; haircut, wash, blow-dry, conditioning treatment, and six foils. Although it was written on my coupon that additional charges will be incurred for hair longer than shoulder length, I thought it was absurd that she should charge me the full price for 6 foils ($36) - nickle and diming me to death, she then states that I need a toner for another $15 to $20 and that my blow dry will cost me an additional $10.00. Seriously? Yes, my hair is long, there isn't that much of it to charge me that additional $10 blow dry. I was willing to negotiate the cost of the foils but it was a no-go for her. Ultimately I ended up with 3 foils at no additional cost and I refused the toner. I did speak with the owner how these coupons are meant to draw in new clientele. It most definitely would have been a more welcoming experience if she didn't try to gouge me every which way. I am reasonable and would have been happy to pay the difference on the foils, from short to long hair. Thankfully, my very nice coiffure, Lisa, did a fine job and dried some of my hair which I was grateful for since it is 15 degrees below. I did not get a full blow dry and did the rest 'chez moi'. The owner of this establishment ought to learn that there are ways to make people want to return. A pity, especially since I am on the hunt for a new hairdresser.

I would give a 0 if possible…read more.. I had purchased a deal for one year of IPL hair removal at Spa Monespace - absolute worst conscious decision I've ever made. First warning signal should have been that even though my contract was for IPL (which is more expensive and takes a little longer to administer), they made excuses that a regular diode sheer laser (which is cheaper and faster) is more beneficial for my hair type. I stated multiple times that's not what I'm paying for, but to no avail. THEN - hold for the punchline - the esthetician BURNED me. 6 months later I have large brown burn marks all over my stomach that will likely never go away. I'm still going to dermatologists and buying all kinds of creams to fade the marks. Instead of taking responsibility for what happened, she blames my skin that I had "hidden pigmentation." Oh, and as consolation for the burn, I got one extra session of laser. Yippee for me. This business claims to have all sorts of credentials and qualified staff, but I highly doubt this. They're out to make a buck. To anyone reading this, please tread with caution if dealing with this spa.

I didn't expect it to be fixed, just asked her to do the best she could, and it turned out really pretty, especially from the back when i put all my hair together and let it show long in the layers. The wash was relaxing and she was very gentle throughout the cutting. I was really surprised she was able to get my hair this straight without the straightening iron, I really like this blow-dry style, took advantage of my natural curls and did not fry them. Hair didn't smell burnt or felt off, just nice and soft! I didn't know this place existed, found it online and it's located in the back, behind rockaberry's. I like how the online booking site says which level their hairdressers are and what their prices will be, really helps me be prepared mentally. Tore me down so much when another place ended up charging me almost 100$ at the last minute and I didn't even like my hair, so I'm thrilled here to at least have an estimate before deciding to get it. The salon was cute inside and was a friendly vibe, no pressure or rudeness, just some polite positivity ^_^ Thank you so much

Firstly, I went to this hairdresser because a friend had referred me. I was only there for a "free"…read morecolor consultation (it was supposed to be free!) 2 days prior, I had had a haircut at another salon. When the hairdresser had me on the chair for the actual color discussion, she told me that my haircut wasn't well done. I asked why and she told me that both sides were not the same length (I had a messy Bob haircut that is evidently not uniform, a multitude of lengths - see picture). We continued to talk about my color and again, she brings out the fact that my haircut was really bad. I began to feel confused. She proposed to fix it for 35$ which I finally went for, feeling pressured to do so since it seemed that my haircut was "horrific". I shelled out 46$ total and when I arrived at home, I realized what had been done and how I felt manipulated into the "fix". My haircut had changed into something else altogether, a whole lot shorter - and not much I can do except be patient for my hair to grow back! The cherry on top; both sides weren't even equal as she had argued was the initial issue. I let a little of my anger pass and shared my thoughts with the concerned. I had to write 2 emails and to call to finally get an answer. To be honest, I haven't had a worse explanation than what I was told. In short, they don't care if a client is not happy with the service. They believe that this was just a case of a bad fit between the client and the hairdresser (what in the world does that even mean?). Refund policy; only when supposedly the color is not what was asked but a haircut is not a service they would reimburse, specifically when messed up (really?) I felt really scammed! They insisted that my hair needed that second cut - however, we agreed only to be an adjustment of lengths (I was trusting that it was fair and not a way to capitalize on me being there, it hadn't even crossed my mind since it was a friend's referral). I was in a position of "it's not my expertise so I trust what I'm being told". When I "tried" to explain my dissatisfaction over the phone, I would have expected they would propose some kind of reimbursement. I would have appreciated an openness to listen to their client's concerns/complaints. Instead, they were firmly standing by "We did everything good, it's your fault and not ours" narrative. Haven't they heard of "the Customer is always right"? My opinion on this, they're trying to milk as much as possible to compensate for the losses incurred during covid-19 (a free color consultation is obviously not lucrative). Really a shame to act like this. I've been in marketing for more than 15 years and clearly they don't know how client loyalty works! And with that, how to run a business. Client IS always at the center. No client = no money = no business; they might have missed that class. I really feel like I was taken for a fool and simply disrespected. I gave them a chance to own up/fix their mistake and they didn't just stick to their but they certainly tried to turn me in the bad person. What a class act!
