Some were walk-ins and some were appointments. When it got to me, I told him I had an appointment for a full set and pedi at 10:00am and he directed me to the tablet to complete check-in. I found my name and appointment time but it still asked me to pick my services. I picked both things I needed. The two women in front of me were ushered to their spots. I waited to the side. A few minutes later, a nail tech in the middle of the floor in the waaaay back waived in my direction. I looked around before pointing to my chest and asking if she meant me. She nodded and waived for me to come over. She asked if I didn't remember her from last time, and I replied "It's my first time here.. Nobody really explained to me who I was going to work with. They only asked me to check in and I waited for further instructions." She apologized. Super kind, social, and funny nail tech. Love love love that she can hold a conversation down cause I can be a yapper. She for sure uplifted my mood after being confused. Halfway through my set, she asked what I had planned for the rest of the day. I told her "To get my toes done, too." She immediately spoke with someone and asked if I wanted to get em done at the same time. I told her I did and she reminded me that I had a lot of power in decided to do both at the same time. I appreciated it, but let her know that in general, as a new customer I felt lost because the front desk didn't help clarify who I'd be working with or confirm what I wanted done despite that I told them what I needed verbally and I selected the same things on the tablet. I could only assume that they did they separately because nobody really talked to me to specify. --- QUALITY & VIBE --- Both the set and pedi completed was amazing, the staff is really nice, and the space is clean, professional and spacious. When I arrived for my weekday appointment, she was ready for me right on time, which I really appreciated. There's nothing better than being seen at your scheduled time. At end of service, I was charged $10 to shape nail into (what I always get at regular salon as customer service courtesy) "almond" shape, $5 for applying tips (i was okay with this). However I was charged for an Ombre ($15) when in fact what i received was nail polish with glitter on tips not Ombre. It was cute but not Ombre! The h2o for pedicure was cold. I had to ask her to make it hot several times. My experience could have been an aberration but I left feeling like there was no more customer service in the experience. The ladies next to me paid $88 for a pedicure! They were up-charging every person and it was awfully uncomfortable to listen to people asking what if I only got gel? How much is that? Very uncomfortable. What if this or that??? Finally upon checking out, they give you option of 18% tip and up. There was no clear option to by-pass this. When I looked at receipt the charge was $220 (twice my bill)! I immediately said this was wrong. They said it was corrected. (I will need to monitor debit card over next few days to make sure the refund registered.) Will I ever return? My natural brows are pretty pathetic, super thin and shapeless so i was impressed when she managed to give me some shape as well as maintain some thickness. The other eyebrow techs are great, but Sana is my favorite. She plucks just the right amount and gives me great shape. She is always pleasant and friendly. Now my mother and sister come with me to see her. I always call ahead to check which location she is working at that day. This layout is more open compared to the other. This location has a much smaller parking lot than the one on Oak Road. Entrance/exit is a bit tricky off of Five Forks Road, especially during rush hour traffic. Making a left out of the salon can be a challenge. The parking lot can get full easily especially during busy/holiday weekends. Fortunately, most people only come for eyebrow threading which only takes a few minutes, so people are in and out. The salon is clean including the bathroom. I've never tried other services, so I can't speak for their wax services or waxing room. If there's a wait, it's usually just 5-10 minutes. Sana now recognizes me and will usually update me about the wait time. I hope she never leaves!

The whole point of the gift was for her to book an appointment on a Saturday, and their advertised hours indicate they are open on both Saturdays and Sundays. I believe the spa should have included this crucial information in the fine print of the Groupon. Had I known she would need to take a day off to use it, I never would have purchased it. My sister just started her job and doesn't have vacation days available, making it extremely inconvenient to book an appointment. I have been getting waxed for YEARS, so I am very familiar with the process and what to expect. I originally came in for a full-body wax with Maria. She cleaned my skin with rubbing alcohol, applied wax to my right underarm, and then left the wax sitting there while she moved on to start my Brazilian. The wax was being left on my skin for several minutes at a time and STILL was not setting properly. Removal was extremely painful. Maria repeatedly apologized throughout the service and seemed unprepared. She also did not have a fan available to help the wax set. At that point, I could already tell that the service was going horribly, so I told her I no longer wanted to proceed with the full-body wax and would only do my underarms and Brazilian. Even after limiting the service, I left with hair still remaining on my Brazilian. Then, after everything that happened, she attempted to charge me $80. I was honestly shocked. The service was painful, the wax was not setting properly, I had to change my original service because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with a full-body wax, and my Brazilian still was not completed properly. I really wanted to find a waxing location closer to home since I recently moved to Duluth, but this experience made that decision for me. I will gladly make the drive back into Atlanta for my full-body waxes. First and last visit.
