I can't say enough about this salon. It's a HUGE family here and the energy is amazing. I came in sad and miserable. Years I've been trying to fix my awful hair. Because they are "state of the art" and keep up on current trends and the latest and greatest in products they offer creative ideas for issues you may have. Took me 5 years to get my hair fixed. Can't say enough. Oh and PS- awesome facial person Debra too. Wow! Flora is the owner and mastermind but she supports ALL her staff and they all are creative and hugely talented. When stylist noticed my apprehension she said that next time we could go lighter but she goes for a natural look. Did not get the vibe that she'd be okay correcting right then. Hair looks drab and I'm seeing greys more than ever due to toner and lo-lights applied. Cut was ok. Will see how the cut and color grow out to determine whether I will return. read more

more than disappointed! I saw the good rewiews and thought it was a good choice.... Actually never had such a poor experience anywhere!!! Olivia was my stylist. I told her about my residue issue in the front where I have to use hair spray. she only paid attention to the left front, as if the other side did not exist. then after washing my hair she could not part it in the middle, it was crooked. I pointed it out and she didn't notice and handed me the comb!!! it was obvious like night and day! She didn't blow dry to create volume. Later she checked the residue, again only on one by side. I pointed out the other side, she checked and didn't say anything. And all that for $58!!! Even at Super Cuts I get better results and spend a lot less! I am so disappointed and can't understand the ratings at all. read more

I got my hair done with Nick after specifically requesting someone who could razor my hair. The problem is he didn't listen when I said 3 times or more that I need it razored throughout. I know my hair obviously and he's met me only once. He insisted only the ends need to be razored and only thinned it by trimming throughout. I just gave up and decided to see how it looked after drying and styling the next day. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm arguing with a stylist. I just want to get my hair cut and feel good after. I will never return to a stylist who doesn't listen. My request was not outlandish. Bring cash to pay your hair washer since some stylists there are likely independent contractors like he is and likely wouldn't be tip sharing with them. He did a good job otherwise, but the thickness ruins my hair's appearance and manageability overall. read more

She makes sure that my hair looks and feels the very best. This is the first salon that I have found in years that recognizes the total person and respects your vision for the look that you want to achieve. I have been going to Debra for my eyebrows, waxing and facials for years. Debra is absolutely the best. One time I went into Debra I was in tears because my hairdresser had cut my hair in a style that looked like the "Little Dutch Boy" on the paint cans. Not only that but she added blonde streaks, I requested, however they were the same yellow as a banana, in huge chunks right in the front half of my head. That hairdresser thought that was a better look for me than what I asked for. Debra excused herself for a minute. The next thing I knew I was sitting in a chair with Flora who listened to what I wanted for myself, unlike the previous hairdresser. Flora is a hairstylist not a hairdresser. Magic is the only word that comes to mind when I saw how Flora corrected the horrible haircut and color that I walked into the salon wearing. While the length of my hair couldn't be corrected immediately, Flora modified the haircut to something that I could live with until my hair grew longer. Flora took one look at my banana yellow chunks of color and asked me if that was what I wanted. When I said no that I asked for natural highlights with my grey covered she smiled and said "we can do somethings to get you to what you want.". One hour later I was getting my eyebrows done by Debra, who is beyond wonderful, with a hairstyle and color exactly like what I had described to her. After Debra finished with my eyebrow dye and shaping, I walked out of the salon LaBella Flora feeling beautiful. That was three years ago. Each time I walk out of LaBella Flora I have that same fabulous feeling. read more

This was a nice salon. Walked in and got ignored for 5 minutes and went back and was rushed when some other girl washed my hair. I sat down with the Albanian lady (her name started with an R). I specifically told her my hair needs some volume and big curls that'll stay through the day because it's my sisters birthday and we are going out. Well she acted like she knew what she was doing etc.... just look at the photos. Curls after 5 minutes where already gone. And hour later (only went to the nail salon to get my nails done not even in the wind or anything crazy) and my curls are gone. Hair is straight. 40$ for a wash and curls that wont stay for 10 minutes? So frustrated I wasted 40$ and my hair is flat and lifeless. I told someone and all they did was apologize, I did not get asked if I wanted it redone NOTHING. Stay away!! read more

I'd driven into the complex just by chance, and after speaking to Penny @ Intimate Desires, she recommended that I use Jessica, her new stylist. I was in dire need of a new cut after having the same look for the past couple of years. When I went in on Tuesday, Jessica didn't have any appointments available right then, but she was able to give me a consult, and decided that she knew what she wanted to do with my hair. We made an appointment for today and I'd just come back. Fast forward to today, I came in about a half hour early and was received quickly, I was taken back to the shampoo and received a great wash & condition. Jessica then took me to her chair and we chatted again about what she had in mind, what I had in mind and she set to work. I noticed that all over the salon there some really great stylists doing a bang up job. People seemed really satisfied, and the stylists seemed happy too. THAT'S really important in my book. When Jessica was done with my cut, I couldn't have been more happy. She trimmed up my ends, gave me some great layers in the front and gave me a lot of body. I'm thrilled with the way it came out. Salon Bella Flora is by far one of the best salons I have ever been too! The staff is all friendly, but I have to give a huge shout out to Kat, my stylist! When I first moved to Florida, I was growing in a pixie cut and looking for someone that knew that they were doing. Unfortunately I went to a woman who butchered my cut and gave me raccoon like highlights. (See my other reviews!). I was on a hunt, and asked a new acquaintance where she went, as her hair was short and cute. Salon Bella Flora was my next call. I wasn't able to get an appointment with her stylist, but I explained my situation and the receptionist suggested Kat. I have now been going to her for three years - successfully grew out my pixie cut and just recently cut of 10" to a sassy bob! She also took my hair from black (colored) with racoon stripes to a gorgeous strawberry blond... WITHOUT any damage!! First time to the beauty salon everyone was so nice the owner was so sweet she was concerned about my perm. Her and an Adriana is my hair stylist I called them on a Sunday and somehow Adriana responded an hour! Not only did she respond but she gave me an appointment for today and she didn't even have to work today. She did a wonderful job on my permits curly just like I asked for and not to mention my haircut is awesome as well. This is my new locations for everything hair color they do everything hair perms they even do the extensions. :-) they are very reasonable. I moved to the Tampa Bay area and have struggled to find a stylist until I met Jessica at Bella Flora. In addition to being an amazing stylist she has a great personality and makes the whole salon experience really enjoyable. It felt like I had known her for years and it was only my first visit. I asked for chunky layers and for the layers to be short enough to get all of the dry ends off. It's an awful mess and I'll probably just have to put it up in a ponytail until I can pay to get it cut again. Just a warning to consumers that if you don't like it they won't fix it for you. I'm going to ask for a refund but I doubt it's going to happen. I feel pretty badly treated and I hate my hair. read more
