Instead, I left feeling like I had been used as a science experiment. When I asked to speak with the leader of the store, I was met with an extremely rude attitude. I even received attitude simply for asking who I was speaking to. What bothers me most is that I was allowed to walk out of the store looking like this. This photo was taken 10 minutes after I left. How is a customer supposed to feel comfortable coming back after an experience like this? I came in hoping to feel better about myself, and unfortunately, I left feeling embarrassed and completely disappointed with both the service and the way my concerns were handled.

I bought the…read moreLiving Social deal they had for $25, so I said what the heck, I really didn't feel like doing my own hair. The place is really nice, warm, relaxing, and inviting. The receptionist was nice and friendly as well as everyone else. My hair washer was nice but nearly scrubbed my head to death, she was scrubbing really hard that it hurt, thankfully she asked if it was to hard and she eased down a bit. But she didn't use a detangling shampoo on my hair therefore it tangled all up. She asked me if my hair tangles this much and I told her not usually because I use a detangling shampoo and I always comb my hair out before washing it which she never did which resulted in my hair being a big tangled mess after she washed it. When she was trying to comb it out I could tell she was having a hard time and she tried ripping my hair apart which I could hear my strands of hair being pulled apart and she did not finish getting the tangles out of my hair before putting me in the dryer for a deep conditioning. My hair washer was black like me so I would have thought she would understand how to wash my hair properly. Oh and some of the shampoo actually smelled like smarties candy, lol. My hairdresser Amanda was really cool, she blew my hair really straight to where it already looked press, so I really liked that. Amanda's work if very articulate she really takes the time to make sure she does everything to near perfection. She did a good job on trimming my ends, although I really didn't care for the hairstyle. But for $25 it was nice to get my hair washed and straighten. The flat iron left my hair smelling a little burnt. They use Aveda hair care products which worked on my hair nice. So all in all, for the first time I think they did good, I think I will try them again in the future maybe. Update: they used my contact info to send me emails which I never agreed to, as well as text messages. I hate when companies do this, it's quite annoying.

I have only had haircuts from her, but I would let her do whatever she wanted to do to me. Color? Sure. Nails? Sure? Spray tan? Well, I've never been inclined before, but if she suggested it, I'd agree and love it. Lobotomy? Sure, whatever! I thought I'd lost Meghan forever when Salon Rhapsody wrote to me that she had left. After a bit of research and Google Fu, I found Femme Beauty Lounge, and it is adorable. I saw her today and I am so freaking happy to be reunited with her! I am also relieved because I am seeing my mother tomorrow and I knew I really needed a haircut (and didn't want to hear it, frankly). When I got home, I liked the page on Facebook and saw that they post tons of specials (including one for men!) and events, even pictures of their work. Beth took the time to discuss what I wanted to do before my first appointment. I sent her pictures and ideas and we went over options. When I got there, I felt really comfortable, and Beth was completely genuine and friendly which is a big deal when you are with someone for long periods of time. Not only did I love the color she gave me, but I loved her and her partner. I got a really good vibe there. I am not a huge people person, so for me to so quickly like someone and feel comfortable is really saying a lot. I would recommend this salon to everyone.
