But the Yelp reviews are not recent, so perhaps there has been a change at Dash. The location is somewhat of a problem. Dash is located in a building that includes Harmony Chiropractic and Rueschoff Security. But the neon sign on the street mentions only those two business and not Dash. In addition, the entrance to Dash is at the back of the building, so easily overlooked. Ashley from Salon Renew has moved to Dash. She is an excellent nail tech. Since Salon Renew has closed, I just went to Dash for a pedicure with my wife who got a manicure. As always, we were very happy with Ashley's work. We cannot comment on the hair styling or massage at Dash, since we have not tried them yet. But the facility is upscale and excellent. I would recommend giving it a try (if you can find it).

Liz was kind enough to allow me to send photos of my current hair to her, along with 'inspiration' photos for what I was looking for. She also reassured me that no matter what, it was going to be OK! As a salon, this salon is really quite nice, airy and open, and seems to have all the amenities I need. Mostly, I would just like to sing my praises of Kyra Rouser. Before I moved to Lawrence, I had had the same hair dresser since I was 8 years old (I was 22 when I moved to Lawrence). I was frightened off by two salons before I finally came to Kyra, a puffy mess of Latina hair, upset and scared as to who would touch my hair next. I was not disappointed. Even though she didn't get my hair cut right the very first time (I have VERY difficult to cut, thick, wavy hair that does WEIRD things), she took the time to write down everything she could about my hair, and was sure to educate me on what it was that I was trying to describe was what I liked. Having someone truly work with you on your hair is a liberating experience. She takes the time out to remember details about my life, and honestly, Kyra became one of the very first people I could call a friend in Lawrence.
