After…read moretrying to find a massage therapist that could replace the one I had back in Chicago, I had just about given up hope until someone suggested Olivia at Sensora. And from my first visit, I was hooked by the skilled staff, and their attention to what I needed to have worked on. Given I travel a lot, I always have a kink in my neck or a twinge in my shoulders and Olivia is outstanding at listening to what I am trying to solve and then getting it done during my visits. Located in a nondescript office building on Iowa, this spa is a great find! Once you pull open the door, the sense of tranquility immediately hits you. Services are done on reservation only but they have a great website that makes it easy to schedule exactly what you want. Lara, the owner, is the person to see for a facial and came highly recommended by my friends. The service rooms are quiet, and if you go, you have to check out the restroom as the toilet truly earns the moniker "The Throne". If you are looking for a spa that will focus on your individual needs, then check out Sensora Spa. It's my new "go to" place!

I'm going back to see Madeline in a month, you should give this place a try and ask for Madeline!!! One more thing they are a full service salon, offering facials, massages and more.

There is a puzzling divergence between the few unhappy Yelp reviews of Dash Salon and the large…read morenumber of unanimously five star reviews on Google. But the Yelp reviews are not recent, so perhaps there has been a change at Dash. The location is somewhat of a problem. Dash is located in a building that includes Harmony Chiropractic and Rueschoff Security. But the neon sign on the street mentions only those two business and not Dash. In addition, the entrance to Dash is at the back of the building, so easily overlooked. Ashley from Salon Renew has moved to Dash. She is an excellent nail tech. Since Salon Renew has closed, I just went to Dash for a pedicure with my wife who got a manicure. As always, we were very happy with Ashley's work. We cannot comment on the hair styling or massage at Dash, since we have not tried them yet. But the facility is upscale and excellent. I would recommend giving it a try (if you can find it).

I have long and difficult hair and went to Adrienne on a recommendation that she was an "expert at long hair." The first trim was fine, but the second cut--layers she said were needed and recommended, ended up costing me $40 for a 30 min haircut and 20 min "no thanks" fix the next day. I had to pay another $35 to get it fixed at another salon, where they confirmed that the layering was uneven and a mess. I don't know what was worse, the way she attacked me with the help of the receptionist when I asked for my money back--(I had unreasonable expectations of what could be done with my hair??)--or the 3 inches the redo cost me in length. NEVER AGAIN. If you are reading this, you have been warned.
