I decided to try again and called a few days ago and was given the same news; no appointments, no new clients :( My suggestion is to keep trying, GLOW is totally worth it! Then the next morning I received a message that there was a cancellation 3 weeks out as well as one at the end of that week. What?! I jumped at the chance and was super grateful they called me back! Yay! Patience is a virtue. I received a text with the appointment confirmation and directions to find the location. Of course, I still missed the location, but I managed to get there right on time. Phew! Glow Advanced Skin and Body Care is located on Hancock in Murrieta, which is a big street. It's behind a pet clinic, in a 3-story building. You walk into the lobby, up the elevator to the 2nd floor and exit to the right. When you walk in it immediately has a peaceful vibe. GLOW is by appointment only so it's nice and quiet. I was asked to fill out an intake form and then Lauren came out to greet me. I was taken to the facial room and took a seat to chat with Lauren. She asked questions to get to know me, what my expectations are and what she could offer. She's holistic by nature and that's what spoke to me the most. I was then asked to change into a towel wrap, showed where to put my stuff and then asked to get onto the facial bed. The initial appointment took about 2 hours from walking in the door to getting back into my car. I appreciated that Lauren took her time. I also liked that she wasn't too chatty during the facial itself. Whenever I'd ask her a question she'd answer and add some good tips. Ultimately, I really wanted to relax to enjoy the experience. I ended up purchasing some Sanitas Skincare items she recommended. Then we made my appointment for 6 weeks out. I'm trusting with Lauren's help and following her lead with the products I'll now use on my face I'll have the results I've been hoping for! I'm all in and excited to try Lauren's method. She was so nice and I can tell she's an expert in her field. She wasn't pushy at all, which was refreshing and I could tell she was honestly trying to help me. She's been through her own skincare journey so I trust her experience. I also love that each facial is personalized to each client. I will gladly return. After the facial my skin felt amazing! It was GLOWing and moisturized! I'm committed to coming every 6 weeks and I'm sure my skin will thank me for it! I'm looking forward to see where my skin journey takes me with Lauren's guidance :)

I came here almost a month ago and haven't had time to leave a review but I couldn't be happier about my experience! Before coming to Salon 29, I went to a different salon in Murrieta for a consultation and the hair stylist there insulted and berated me. She told me that I would look "horrible" and "feel disgusting" with the hair color I wanted because I'm Latina and not a white, blonde woman. I left in tears and called Salon 29 after finding them on Yelp. Salon 29 was able to give me a hair consultation immediately. When I arrived, the receptionist was extremely kind and understanding. My hair stylist, Veronica, gave me a consultation and was super sweet, knowledgeable, and comforting. I had had an awful day after my experience at the other hair salon and broke down in her chair. I told her all about the terrible experience I had with the prior hair salon and she was extremely sympathetic and reassured me that she could do my hair how I wanted. Veronica was able to give me a last minute hair appointment for the very next day. I had a fantastic experience with Veronica and she made my hair look just like what I wanted!! After washing and straightening my hair at home, I discovered the cut was noticeably choppy and uneven (photos attached). The appointment had started late and became rushed so I initially gave the stylist the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was simply an unfortunate one off. I reached out privately and was very cordial. I asked only for the haircut portion to be refunded, not the blowout or the two products I purchased. I even told her I loved the blowout and had planned to return for another. She apologized and acknowledged the haircut was concerning but repeatedly asked me to return so she could examine and correct it. Because I'm getting married in six weeks and will already need to lose additional length to fix the cut I politely declined and said I was more comfortable having my regular stylist correct it. Instead of refunding the haircut, I was offered three free blowouts. I don't regularly get blowouts, so I politely declined again and reiterated my request for a refund of ONLY the haircut. Unfortunately, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself because mistakes happen. It was how a reasonable request was handled after the fact. I gave multiple opportunities to resolve this privately and fairly and have not been refunded. I'm sharing this because I wish I had done more research beforehand, and others deserve to make an informed decision based on my experience. Additionally, I discovered this kind of behavior is actually common for this specific salon and owner, Lauren. I didn't plan to share this but after learning this is common behavior and bully tactics had been leveraged towards others in the past for speaking up, I didn't feel right not sharing my experience. Update: I was never informed at the time of service my cut was not "finished" since I assume when the cape is removed and I pay, it's done. Please be sure to confirm with your stylist the cut is finished before you pay and leave. I've since considered my haircut charge a donation towards future learning opportunities for the Master stylist at this salon. I also added the text exchange for full transparency since the owner has decided to alter the narrative.
