I've had horrible experiences with beauticians in the past, so it is super difficult for me to trust ANYONE to do my hair. JoAnna has been super patient and understanding with me. My hair had been virtually ruined before going to her but she literally SAVED MY HAIR!! It's healthier than it's ever been. They don't call her "growing hands" for nothing. I've been using Paiges of Life for over a year now and have been so pleased every time. I don't trust anyone else to even touch my hair other than JoAnna!

It was a great experience and I love it. Booking the appointment was very easy through her website! She explains everything in the site and can also be reached via text. Her shop is nice and clean. She's conversational without it being awkward or too much for the customer. I also thought she was really funny. I'm so happy with my first experience of cutting my precious natural hair. Her speciality is hair growth but she didn't try to convince me to change my mind or anything about cutting my hair. Check out her Instagram! She does a lot of different styles. This was worth the price.

Not only is it not blended at all and completely incorrect and inconsistent to my curl pattern, the cut in the front is not even even. My right side is an inch shorter than my left, not even straightening this could fix it it genuinely looks terrible. I have to get extensions and my hair fixed completely at my salon at home when the school year ends. Not acceptable, don't market you can do something if you can't. My stylist, Trinity Tate, was extremely helpful when I was deciding what deep conditioner to choose. I have such unruly, dry curls, and she led me to a perfect conditioner that helped repair my locks. I hadn't had a hair cut in a while, so Trinity made sure to talk to me about the length I wanted off and reassured me as she cut, instead of just chopping, like many stylists do. My experience at Salon 1812 was wonderful and the prices were great for the services rendered. I left feeling renewed and very pleased. Would visit again!

Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience during my recent visit, and I wanted to share why…read more I had an appointment scheduled for early afternoon and arrived on time, only to be asked to wait in the seating area. I waited for 30 minutes before being greeted by my stylist, and then another 15 minutes before being taken to the wash bowl. After the wash, I was told to wait again--this time for another 30 minutes--before finally being brought over for my color treatment. Once the color was applied, I was moved to a different area to let it sit, but it ended up sitting in my hair for over an hour while my stylist, Jerica Lafayette, worked on another client. This was concerning, as permanent hair dye typically shouldn't be left in for more than 30-45 minutes. After her other client was finished, I waited an additional 10 minutes before being brought back to the wash bowl. From there, I was placed in a chair for my blowout. During the blow-drying process, the stylist began at my roots instead of the ends and tugged roughly through my hair, which was tangled and dry at the tips. The blowout felt rushed, and I ultimately left with frizzy, curly ends that didn't reflect the quality I expected. This was really disappointing, especially since I was so excited to support a Black-owned salon. I still left a tip out of courtesy, but spending nearly 5 hours there for such an underwhelming experience was incredibly disheartening.
