It's a small and simple salon, nothing super flashy. Would be easy to drive by and overlook it. They're right next store to the fire station. They do eyebrows as well so make sure to book that when you come. They will take walk-ins when they can but I recommend calling since they can be booked up. When you come, try to swing by "Dawn's sweets" a few doors down for some delicious baked goods. There's also a really awesome snowball stand across the street "Mrs. V's" that stays open until 7pm some days. AND Jackson Park right up the street with a splash pad for kids. But I can't remove my head so I have to get someone else to do the length of the bob. They had me use a girl who absolutely should not be a hairdresser. She could not cut my hair. It was off over an inch and a half on one side longer. And when it's a Bob, it really shows. I asked her to cut more off and tried to show her how to check lengths. It was too long, but she said she had to go. I just called the salon and asked for somebody else to cut the bottom of my hair, and they said they would give me a discount and someone would do it for only $35 as long as I left with my hair wet. Which is what I was gonna do anyhow. You have to be kidding me!?! I just paid this other girl that same amount of money and gave her $10 tip because she is inept, and I felt bad for her. I figured she'll get fired soon. I have already paid. They used to be a great Salon, but apparently they're not anymore. And the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I would never go there. I will show a friend and teach them how to cut the length of my hair before would go there again. And considering I used to teach with Jay's students too, I could teach a monkey how to cut hair. Hair hadn't been done or cut in a while, and Nicole put her talent and expertise to the max for a wonderful transformation of bright, blonde, and still long layers while hair feeling so light and healthy. Drew, the coordinator for weddings, was super nice and professional despite the many changes in scheduling I had to make. (I got rained out for my bridals and a bunch of my girls needed changes in their services.) On the day of the wedding, they were so fun. The service was amazing.
