They have not followed covid mandates from day one. I have been a client for almost 15 years, always having my hair done by the owner Karen Eusantos. My 2 sons are (were) also regular clients. During this past year (due to the pandemic) I've been super careful, especially since my son is immunocompromised, which Karen is well aware.
Since I'd been vaccinated I decided to make an appointment with her, but was refused WHEN I ASKED IF THEY WERE WEARING MASKS as is still required. She told me that as of May 1st she didn't have to anyway. I explained to her that was for outside only. Well she still wasn't interested in the least with complying with Covid restrictions and basically told me I wasn't welcome anymore. But it makes me sad that someone I had grown to care about over the last decade and a half in return cares so little about me and my family (or other client/customers). It just doesn't make sense. We did find a wonderful salon that a friend (and one of those former clients of Salon 2000) recommended. They wear masks and clean in between clients, and are more in touch with new techniques and new haircuts and color. Karen refusing to have us as clients anymore actually did us a favor. read more
