When walking into Salon 102, it like no other salon. Everyone there is so nice and personable, they're genuine people. I have never waited more than 10 minutes. The salon is always busy, therefore that means they're good at what they do and the staff knows what they were doing. Did i mention they offer you coffee???? YES LADIES COFFEE....numerous cups too. I have been one of there first costumers since they have opened and let me tell you the prices are reasonable and not overly expensive. The salon is beautiful as well, its clean and never a mess its not a environment that smells. I love the salon and I love the owner Lisa and her manager marisa. They are great people and as are the receptionists. OH, we also can't forget, Lisa the owner, her daughter, who's also named Marissa. I did some research, and none of these reviews are accurate. I was hesitant to go in but I found Salon 102 on groupon and they have wonderful reviews. I also went on google and saw their reviews, and they exceed expectations. They have an excellent reputation. I also so on their website how their prices are also so reasonable!!! I got my hair done by Violet, I used the groupon i purchased and I love my keratin. she was lovely. She walked me through the whole process, she talked to me and was so nice. I loved the atmosphere and how professional everyone is, I booked my next hair color. I will deff be going back. 10/10 I was also nervous because of the new guideline and what their sanitation process was. The girls were great, every time someone touch something or sat down or got up the chair was wiped down and all equipment was thoroughly wiped down. So happy that I found this salon. I purchased a Groupon for a Keratin treatment that cost me less than half the price I usually pay. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. I have long thick hair. I was so surprised to see that they used a Keratin product that is one of the best. Andrea was amazing. Not only is she highly skilled at what she does, but she is a doll. I am very particular when it comes to getting my hair cut and struggle to find someone who does it right. Andrea asked me to give her a try and I absolutely love my hair. I just had it cut there for the 2nd time and plan to try them for color. The salon itself is very basic, no frills or fluff but the important fact is that they deliver. I have been to high end salons from Greenwich CT to Dobbsferry and paid a fortune for the services and the decor but if they can't provide you what you want, what's the point? Salon 102 is the only salon I trust with my hair! Since i have been going to salon 102 I have always been the happiest with my hair they never disappoint and i always leave with a big smile on my face. The staff are super friendly and social and alway make you feel welcomed when you go there. You really couldn't ask for a better salon to go to, Salon 102 has it all. As well as the staff being as great as they are, the environment is clean and pleasant, it is a smell free zone and its enjoyable and comfortable. The wait time was never that long for me, but even if i had to wait it is well worth it. I love salon 102, its truly a great salon to go to and the staff makes you feel at your prettiest and you will leave happy with the results every time. So my friend i work with told me about this place i have gone to many of the other places in the area but i couldn't find the one i liked until i got here. This place is awesome i went in for the first time to get a balayage and got to meet all the girls who work there and they are great. They actually made me feel welcomed i didn't feel like i was getting push aside or rushed out the door. I have gone back plenty of times I actually just got a wash cut and blow dry there and it was well priced as well as being able to request some side stuff to be added to my haircut additionally. They have done colors on my hair and they get the colors right when i dyed my hair strawberry blonde (i have black hair). These hairstylist are great and comforting and sweet as can be i love them they accommodate you when you walk through the door and it is great. When I moved to the neighborhood over 4 years ago, I didn't know where to go, so I went driving around and tried ALL the Salons on South Main Street in Mohegan Lake. One Sunday I tried Salon102, I walked in without an appointment. I absolutely fell in love this place. I have color and full set of highlights. Hair cuts and hair styles are always perfect. They NEVER make me leave being unhappy with my hair. Lisa, Marisa, Andrea and Marianna are very professional people they know there colors. They understand what you want and do exactly what you ask. It is a warm, loving atmosphere. They put a lot of pride into there wok and make you feel good about yourself. OMG thank you so much salon 102 I was a walk in and wasn't sure if you could give me what I want but you managed to take 40 years of jet black hair by the way what was dye over dye over dye and turned me into chocolate brown with the most fabulous highlights . Fantastic salon! After searching for a new salon for myself and my daughters, I'm so happy I found Salon 102. Over the past year and a half I've tried 3-4 different salons in the area and this is by far my favorite. My hair has finally become healthy after the conditioning treatments the girls here have recommended. My youngest daughter has had 2 keratin treatments here and her hair is so much healthier than it was. I've walked in at all hours with no appointment and they always bend over backwards to accommodate me. Convenient parking in the back of the building too. The girls are so sweet! read more

I had a great experience at Salon 102. I had never been to Salon 102 before. I bought a groupon and tried them out. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Alexa performed my Keratin treatment. She explained the whole process to me before we started. The keratin treatment made my hair look amazing} straight, shiny and frizz free. Sad to see someone complain about something so silly. The "piss" smell is keratin. I've smelled it a few times going there and the reason is actually because the keratin service is so popular. I usually don't have to wait much but if a salon is really good, it's usually going to be busy. Even so, I don't remember ever waiting more than 5-10 minutes myself. I am always surprised when I see bad reviews for a place that I have had nothing but good experiences with? I've had about 6 or 7 keratin treatments over the past 4 years - and I have been happy with the results! My last visit I had a new stylist named Joe - and he could not have been more thorough in explaining everything about Keratin - most of which I knew - but some was new information. Absolutely excellent hair salon. I went in because I saw a sign that said Walk-in welcomes. I was greeted by their receptionist who was extremely accommodating and helped me! I came in wanting just a haircut but walked out a new woman with fresh highlight color haircut. my hair is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere was so positive and friendly. This is the second keratin that I purchased this year and I'v have been back to get my haircut. I have always been satisfied. I had a different girl both times for my keratin and it did take longer than I expected but It was worth it to me. I first started coming here about a year ago and if you don't like good conversation with the nicest people and an even better haircut than this is not the place for you.
