Very nice place to visit. Plenty of active trout and salmon in the multiple ponds. It costs $2 for a tub of fish food to feed them. Definitely recommended place to stop by whilst in Tasmania! The pancakes and crepes in the Salmon Pond cafe were also really good and exceeded my expectation. Incredibly friendly customer service!! read more
Nice arboretum. Pretty grounds. Maybe we missed it but it seems not much here for fishermen. Seems rather run down in a few of the buildings like the modest Hall of Fame. Good spot to see a great tree collection. We did enjoy feeding the fish (checkout the albino rainbow trout) and also encountered one amazing find, which was a platypus. That alone was worth the price of admission and raised my review by a star. read more
