I like makeup, but how I loathe this location. Where to begin. None of the associates know anything…read moreabout what they sell, they stare blankly at you when you ask for a product recommendation. I could probably provide better service to their customers if I just hung out in there and talked to random stranger about my experiences with their products.
But, oh boy, will every single employee, of the 15 employees they have working on the sales floor (not registers) say hi to you.
I'm trying to find a product your 15 employees are unable to recommend, I don't need someone popping up behind me every two minutes to say hi.
And then when you're ready to check out, get ready to wait a while, because while it looks like there are a ton of people working there, there are like two people working together at a register.
I don't know if I'm just getting older, but like, I've worked in retail, it's not difficult, just try your best, but it feels like it's so many of these employees' first day on earth. I've never encountered such blank, incapable people before. But at least they know how to say hi, I guess.
And hopefully you don't have an issue with the product you buy. I did, and when I called them to speak to a manager, she called me a day later to basically go on and on about different products she liked.
Lady, I'm out with my kids, I don't care, I just want to know if your billion dollar business is going to replace my lipliner. Spoiler; they did not.
When I went to claim my birthday gift, the associate was extremely fixated on being able to scan the barcode in the email. Sorry, but you can see right here that I have the email, it just won't load because I'm not connected to WiFi. You're Gen Z, shouldn't even you know this?
So she wants me to go ALL THE WAY HOME to download an email so she can scan something rather than just getting a manager and handing me the trial size tube of whatever.
I really worry for our future if this is how they think.
I'll just drive further away to not have to deal with this.
