Great personal service. I fell and my wedding ring finger has been swollen since before Mardi Gras. I tried to remove it myself with no luck. The Mr David took the time to remove it-and it did take time but he accomplished the feat with minimal discomfort and had the ring ready that day. It was resized and it looks beautiful. Wonderful job y'all. read more

Salles Jewelry - Engagement ring - Jewelry Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

Every once in a while I find a new merchant that far surpasses any other. Today I found Salles' Jewelers. I really didn't find them they were recommended by everyone I asked who lives in or near Slidell, Louisiana. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The owner himself came out, looked at my ring and said he could repair the ring while I waited. I'm sure my look said "While I wait?". The ring in question was gold with delicate filigree. It had been run over by a car and smashed almost flat. Less than 10 minutes later he handed me my ring, now perfectly round and shining because he went the extra step and polished it. My 40 year old ring now looks brand new. My deep gratitude to Salles' Jewelry for saving a treasured ring that I thought could never be saved. And the price was definitely more than fair. I will be back. read more

Left watch there for repair, told I'd be called in less than a week with estimate. No call. Called them after 10 days, told another week with estimate. Both calls the man who answered was borderline rude. Now after 3 weeks, I called, fellow answering phone knew nothing, told me to call back next day. Then, lady who answered didn't know status, I request my watch back. Never return there! Rude people! read more

I was recommended this place after a large retail jewelry shop was not able to resize my ring after a week of them having it and paying $90. Salles resized it with no problem and had it back to me in a few days for only $20! Great work and great price. Will definitely return for any jewelry needs. read more

I never leave bad reviews and I hate to do this but I absolutely have to. My family and friends have been going to Salles for many years and they've always done a beautiful job so when I was visiting I brought my wedding set there to have the prongs fixed as they'd started catching on fabrics. No stones were loose, but the rings are 15 years old and have the normal wear & tear. When I got the rings back the prongs felt very smooth but I trusted they did a good job and put them away because of work. After we headed back home I put them on and the stones were EXTREMELY loose. The prongs were almost nonexistent. I called Salles to politely notify them that there was a problem - didn't ask for anything, just to let them know. He tried to turn the blame back on me. I had to take it to another jeweler and $600 later it was fixed. The jeweler told me had he done what Salles did he'd been fired - by his brother, the owner. One of the stones was chipped, the prongs were filed off, and almost every single stone was loose. They had to completely rebuild my rings. Now I understand that some of that was most likely due to the age of the rings but I had just had them to Salles 2 weeks prior and they said nothing about it and apparently did nothing about it. read more

Awesome family owned establishment. Fixed my chain in less than 24 hours for half the price they quoted me!

I heard about Salles through word of mouth after having a horrible experience from another jeweler to resize my engagement ring. I stopped in on a whim, and so glad I did. The jeweler came from the back and I began to apprehensively explain the issues with the ring... Having talked to another jeweler separate from the one who did the shoddy work, I was worried this meet would end in more bad news. Quite the opposite. I do not know the jewelers name - but I can only describe what transpired as a godsend. He knew exactly what was wrong, what had been done wrong, and even mentioned additional things that needed to be fixed that I had not yet voiced. I just picked my beautifully, perfectly restored ring yesterday and I cannot begin to describe the joy of the experience - knowing the level of professionalism and pride this establishment takes in their work. Absolutely amazing - I will go to Salles first for any jewelry needs. Hands down. Without question. read more

Best place to get your watch fixed. I brought in my watch to get my battery replaced because my mother recommended them. I gave them my watch and they put in the battery in less 5 minutes and I only paid $5 even. I was shocked how fast it was. It was faster than Chuck Norris chucking wood. Also to add, I found out that they are a locally owned family jewelry store and have been running the business for 20+ years. Plus, they also engrave rings and emblems. read more

Salles has been around as long as I can remember, because I grew up in Slidell. They are knowledgeable about jewelry, designing pieces, as well as buying pieces of jewelry. My son LOVED it! I highly recommend going to Salles FIRST for all your jewelry gifts and repairs! They treat their customers like family! read more

Got a beautiful engagement ring from my fiancé here! He was able to custom design it and pick every detail of it! Love it!!

This jewlery store has been around for 50+ years in Louisiana! They are no frills and straight forward in their customer focus! I had called around all over the Gulf Coast looming for someone to give me an appraisal, the cheapest I found was 75$ and they wanted to keep the piece for 2 weeks. SALLES did the job while I waited and it cost 15$ He was patient and informative!!! If you like to support local businesses they deserve your time. And even if that isn't a priority for you, if getting the best value for your dollar is then this is your jewlery store! read more

Salles' is more than jewelry repair or engraving etc. They are honest and skilled. They are able to satisfy any piece of jewelry you could see elsewhere without the huge retail price. I love Salles. My entire family gets their jewelry from this little shop. The store is tiny and they don't hold much stock, so it's not like going into the mall where you just walk in, point to one, pay too much for it, and then leave with the jewelry in hand. At salles', they will customize everything! When we picked out our wedding rings, we looked through magazines and picked different traits from different rings and they put them all together to make the perfect one for us. And because the store is so small, they don't carry much stock, and it's mostly just the family working there, they keep the cost way down. You will not find better prices on the North shore. When we were looking at engagement rings, I pointed to a ring in a magazine and asked how much it would be he said, "Half the list price." Don't be turned off by the tiny building, this mom and pop jewelry store is awesome. I go there for everything. read more
