His instructions were often difficult to understand and he'd get annoyed when I'd ask clarifying questions. The lessons involved presenting rather difficult concepts in whole (e.g. the entire golf swing), and then observing my attempts at it. Each mistake was met with visible frustration, putting me in a constant state of unease, which felt counterproductive to the learning process. In moments when I could have used guidance, he'd let out a big sigh or resort to periods of silence, increasing my anxiety and self-consciousness. His reactions were so harsh that I found myself constantly apologizing for making the slightest of mistakes. During the second lesson (of my life btw!), he actually yelled, "Oh my God" in frustration after I missed a shot. Talk about a confidence killer! I couldn't believe that a PGA pro that was being paid to teach would have that kind of a reaction to a total beginner missing a shot. The fact that I miss shots was the very point of why I was taking lessons in the first place! Plus, it was super embarrassing as there were many people around us. Ultimately, Danny's tendency to respond rudely and condescendingly to my beginner-level mistakes was deflating, and led to a decrease in my motivation to practice and continue learning with him. Although I prepaid for 5 lessons, after the second one, I was done. Despite the financial loss, the thought of enduring another session was more agonizing. I was excited to start learning golf, this was supposed to be a way to unwind and have fun. Regrettably, and despite the positive reviews, this was not my experience. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I felt like I had to let people know what they might be getting into, especially since his lessons aren't cheap. I really hope Danny can take this feedback into consideration and change the way he teaches to be more supportive to us golf newbies.

My Kiwanis group has been having our golf outing here for many years and I have really gotten a feel for just how special this course is to be on and part of. Our outing is usually a 12pm shotgun and we fill up all the holes with foursomes. This comes after a beautiful breakfast then some time on the driving range. I don't play but I am always there with my camera as the official photographer. They do such a great job for our breakfast buffet. Plenty to choose from and all fresh and tasty food. Once the golfers hit the links you can always see and hear what an excellent course this is. It is very challenging, well maintained. They refer to it as a golfer's "golf course." The holes are challenging and fun. The greens and fairways are very well maintained and there are always plenty of rangers on the course helping to keep the golfers moving along. After a day of golf, we have a gala cocktail hour and dinner. We have been coming here for many years and they have always presented a beautiful evening for us. Great food, wonderful service and a comfortable venue with a beautiful view. I know many people who have either got married or celebrated a personal milestone here... everyone happy with the event. To be…read morefrank, I've never truly golfed before (unless you count mini golf, ha!) but I had the most perfect afternoon giving it my best shot just this past Saturday. The course here is quite awesome really. Picture an actual 18 hole golf course just much smaller. Each hole ranged from about 60ish-100+ yards. The lawn was beautiful manicured and we even had several deer, rabbit and red robin sightings! As someone who is brand new to golf (I at least own a decent club!), I felt very comfortable at this facility. We only noticed 2 other groups and a single player throughout the course and everyone was patient, polite and friendly. Prices were very reasonable too, at only about $10 a person plus $4 for a pair of club/$1 per ball (if not bringing your own). Just don't forget to pick up your deposit and your ID (they only require one held per group) at the counter on the way out. I'll most definitely be coming back here asap so I can start practicing!

How did I not know about this place? Maybe I should keep it a secret. It's a beautiful course, uncrowded, right off the beach, with some stunning views. Also, as mentioned by many others ... brings LOTS of balls. The woods are filled with weeds, thorns, spikes, and lice. Can't beat the greens fees of $11. That's cheaper than a movie and a lot more fun. Parking is $10 ... it may be worth it to get an $80 parking pass. I plan to play a lot here. Wife loves it too.

She's doing this summer camp with this coach named Tiffany and she is constantly being rude to the kids and ear dropping on there conversations. When I tried to get her out of the program they wouldn't give me my money back.
