I have had chinch bug problem in my lawn since last year which was destroying our front lawn. I was…read moremisdiagnosing the problem (thinking it was brown patch) all along and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I gave up and called Lawn doctor. Don (the owner) came to look over the lawn and he immediately found out the problem. He patiently explained to me the problem, showing the problem bug and even suggesting a solution. I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor (very professional, not pushy) and decided to go with him for the application. Based on Don's suggestion, I could have been a prick and done the treatment myself from store purchased insecticides (I couldn't do it!). Don gave me a quote for two applications. I felt the quote was reasonable and justified. After the first application, the crew came to check the results. After checking the grass, (on the scheduled day of second application), I got a call that a second application was not necessary and therefore they hadn't applied it (and of course I wasn't charged for the second application). The company could have easily applied the second application and charged me for the same, and I would have probably paid for it without questioning. But the company didn't do it. It stuck to their morals. I personally felt very happy that such honest and trustworthy companies still exist even today. Now I know who to consult for all of my future lawn care needs and I would strongly recommend and endorse them for anyone looking for a lawn care company. (Note that I don't usually write out online reviews for companies, I only do so when I really feel touched by a companies gesture)

If you need any type of brick work done you seriously need to consider using Salinas Landscaping Inc. for the job. Everyone from the owner to the work crews are very professional, skilled and focused on the smallest details to produce an exceptional outcome on any project. We had a very large paver stone patio, connected walkways and paver covered stoops that needed to be repaired due to sinking and associated drainage problems. We also had several 3'-4' landscape retaining walls that needed repair and leveling. We had several contractors quote the job and the proposals ranged from ridiculously priced to unacceptable solutions. When we contacted Salinas Landscaping Inc. Jose Salinas came out to review the problem areas and develop reasonable options for our consideration. He was very thorough in detailing these options and ultimately demonstrated how cost effective it would be to pull up the existing paver stones and replace them with new product. Installing new pavers was the option that we settled on along with the repair and leveling of the retaining walls. We were impressed by how frequently the crews communicated their planned actions and the steps that they took to lay out product orientation for our consideration and approval before final placement. Upon completion they cleaned up all work areas, placed sod where grass had been removed and mulch in the landscaped areas that had been disturbed. While dealing with contractors can be a nerve racking or frustrating process we found Salinas Landscaping Inc. to be very easy to do business with. They will be our first call for future projects. read more

I called set up appt. came when promised. Told him what I wanted and he suggested a little more than I had budgeted, however his add on suggestion worked out much better so it was well worth it. They came and worked in the 2 days that sprinkled and snowed on and off all day and finished the job, I felt awful but the crew insisted they worked in worst weather. My backyard looks amazing and the dogs have a paved runway where they tore up all the grass. Will add pictures later as due to the rain it looks a little muddy and will not do it justice unless you saw the before pics. they also replaced some grass at no xtra charge therefore I want to wait until that part looks better in the summer but the total paved area looks amazing. Jose totally takes pride in his work and his crew, and price quoted is price set, no surprises, no delays in dates given like others I've experienced. I had Salinas install a new 30'x30' paver patio this spring (2022). I called Salinas and Jose came out the very next day. We discussed a number of design options and various paver styles and colors. Jose provided great insight and made several good suggestions on how to best integrate the patio into my existing second floor deck (posts and stairs). I was impressed with the Salinas team that came out and completed the work. They are hard working professionals with all the necessary equipment to get the job done quickly and with great quality. This was a challenging project needing to navigate moving material up and down a muddy hill. Salinas took great care in restoring the hill with grass seed and actually resetting other pavers we had along the driveway. The project was completed in only a week including the city inspection. I had been getting quotes for the work for a number of years. The 'professional' people did not want to recycle my existing material. Salinas Landscaping understood the challenges of reusing the exiting paving stones. Came up with a solution that not only made use of salvageable material and gave it the look I was looking for but could not describe. The work crew were professionals that knew what they were doing and were respectful of keeping the work area as clean as humanly possible. They worked their butts off. I work from home so I had the opportunity to watch these men work. My body hurt just from watching. Based upon their performance I'm hoping to have them redo the stone work in my backyard. We contacted Salinas Landscaping after we saw the wonderful work they provided for our neighbor on their retaining wall. We were in need of updating an existing partial retaining wall, as well as, sealing our back patio, correcting sunken pavers in our front walk and stoop and sealing it also. It was a pleasure working with Salinas and the entire crew. All workers were courteous and kept our property clean and organized throughout the job. When trying to decide upon a stone color, they were willing to bring samples out so that we could see actual colors. We needed repairs to our brick patio and retaining wall. Jose and his men were on-time, worked diligently throughout the week, and finished the job in the promised timeframe and at the cost quoted. The care they took to dismantle the wall and patio, followed by the expertise needed to fix the slope toward the drain, and with the skill required to add new backfill and rebar support to bring back to like-new condition was fun to watch. They trimmed all the bushes, dug out all the weeds and timbers that were growing where they shouldn't be. Removed a small flower bed and sodded it. Removed all the railroad ties bordering the beds and replace them with new ones. Mulched all beds with cedar mulch. They even cut down a large tree with a huge active hornets nest in it.
