When I moved here in the beginning of crazy lawn season, I was in desperate need to find a yard service quickly. I interviewed 2 and both quoted me some bullshit cleaning up fees etc. I had no choice as my lawn was as wild as those girls gone wild "girls". I signed with one service, who thankfully did not commit me to a contract. Being the new out-of-work gal in the block, I stay home searching for jobs for most of my waking hours, and know when the yard was cut OR NOT. After finding out this chap bilked me of a couple of visits, I fired him. I started staring out of my window to catch my neighbors so I can get recommendations of their yard service. My lovely neighbor recommended Joe. Joe doesn't make me sign a contract. He's cool to my dog. And he's truly a hardworking entrepreneur. Call the office and request for him. And tell him that Ling sent you. Not that I get a commission, but I think it'll make his day to come recommended.

Once you get to a certain stage in your life and career, who really wants to spend their precious time on the weekends trying to play Bob Villa with yard work? I know a certainly don't. If this makes me a lazy bastard, then so be it. I will be waving to you mowing in your front yard as I am driving down the block with my golf clubs in the back seat. Really the main factor for me personally, and this is a maxim that holds true for most recurring services I patronize, is that I want things to be handled in such a manor that I do not even have to think about it. I know the job will be done right and I can concern myself elsewhere. When you think about it, that is really the ultimate compliment you can give a company that performs this type of service. That has been my experience thus far with Shamrock. Pricing was fair, though I did wheel and deal a bit initially, as this is just my nature. They also performed all tasks to my satisfaction and at the scheduled time. They will be among my first phone calls next year when the weather warms back up again.

STAY AWAY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!…read more After requesting quotes online, Illinois Roofing & Exteriors (Mitch specifically) called me back (Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 4:57pm) to schedule a date/time to visit the property to create a quote. Mitch told me he was going to call me that morning to confirm the appointment. On Wednesday at 5:11pm Mitch called me to let me know they had already been in my property and had taken some pictures of the porch. I asked Mitch when had that happened and initially he told me "Tuesday." I asked "Tuesday?" to which he responded, "no, it was Monday." I asked, "Monday?" to which he responded, "no, I think it was Saturday." I asked him if it had been Monday, Tuesday, or Saturday, and he responded "Saturday." (Please note the initial call happened on Sunday). I proceeded to ask Mitch where had they taken the pictures from, and he responded they had entered my property through the gangway and taken pictures of the back yard. I told Mitch I was not happy and that his actions are considered trespassing. When Mitch heard this, he said a man had done the walk-through with them. I asked Mitch to described the man and Mitch said it was a tall man with his hair combed to one side. I told Mitch I was bald and that we have cameras that did not capture anyone taking pictures from the backyard. At that point I told Mitch I did not feel comfortable doing business with them. Please be careful with this company. This experience sounds very concerning! ....and it does not end there. At 5:32pm I received a call from Mitch apologizing because they had made a mistake. Mitch told me they had gotten my file confused with another client because we have the same name. As you can see from my review, I have an extremely unusual name. I told Mitch I did not believe him and ended the call.
