When the time got close, we called back to confirm our appointment on Monday (for a Thursday appointment)...they then cancelled and had to reschedule. On the second appointment, they called us to confirm for the next day but didn't show up. Then the office manager (?) got crazy mad over the phone and said they didn't want our business because my wife "yelled at them." My wife doesn't know how yell so what's up with that?

Glad this type of quality is not a lost art. The table is a couple of years old and has withstood a lot of meals and game play by adults and children alike which speaks volumes to its durability. I believe it was in the $3000 range but so far I'd say it is has been worth every penny. I'm curious to see their showroom. My dad raved about it and supposedly they have an excellent view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. If you're looking for high quality, hand-made furniture definitely make the drive! I believe if they don't have what you want in the showroom, they'll make it custom.

Oh, and I did everything by phone/email as I live a couple hours away. Highly recommend this niche furniture store for custom, quality built furniture! We will most definitely buy from Merle again!

When we called to check and delivery they just didn't know. Lo and behold it had to be ordered and they had no problem information on timing. When I complained to the manager, I was told - for the first time - that if we wanted THE SAME MATTRESS it was $200 more for in stock items. So they have the mattress, don't bother to tell us that, and we're still waiting. As I said in my email to the manager, we could have purchased a mattress on line, but chose to do business locally. This is our thanks.
