The neat little distillery is located at a stage triangular intersection just off Highway 50, which makes it easy to stop in if you are passing through town. Once inside, you'll find a pretty hip layout and decor with some neat merch for sale, all branded with their super creative logo. Step up to the bar and choose from a variety of spirits, from bourbon to gin and several in between. They also offer a nice list of carefully crafted cocktails, beers, and other beverages. During our visit, we were greeted by a nice woman who quickly took our order and made a few suggestions. She quickly got to work making them. As we waited, we watched her work and noticed that behind the bar was an absolute mess; I don't know if she was just overworked and didn't have time to tend to the dishes and clean up the mess from making prior drinks or if that was just her mode of operation. Once our drinks were served, we were excited to see what she had crafted. The first drink of mine was odd; over the spirits and botanicals, I could taste fish, yes, fish. I thought it was odd and passed it to my friend, she was grossed out as should could taste the same flavor. Her drink arrived and had the same off putting flavor, in the end, all four of our drinks had this subtle flavor. We determined it must be the ice. She was rather busy, so we just tossed her a card, paid our tab, and headed out. Hopefully, the sanitary conditions will improve, and they will get better ice as it is a cool place and could be an awesome stop for a craft cocktail.

Honestly we popped in here to wait out a summer rain storm, but stayed well after the sun came out…read morebecause we enjoyed the spirits and vibe of the place. The tasting room is set up as expected. When you walk in there is a counter and you can order drinks or try a tasting. We actually just ordered a drink and took a seat in their covered patio area. They do have a food truck out there too, so you could eat here, but we stuck to drinks. Lovely little low key spot with good people watching, I had a Colorado Mule (bourbon) and a Margarito (which was kind of a take on a mojito with whisky). The hubby got two classics (an old fashioned and a whisky sour). They were all well made and delicious. Bartender was friendly. All around vibe was great. We ended up taking a bottle of bourbon home with us. Wonderful spot on Main Street Buena Vista.

As a rule I'm not a fan of scotch but I truly enjoyed theirs, no peat which is perfect. I have seen their stuff and not been interested. But saw the "Colorado Whisky" on Tubi featured Deerhammer. The story is awesome and what the history and heritage behind every successful distiller, it's about doing something unique. And that's just about the whiskey. The facility is small with a nice place to hang out and do the tastings. Don't try the fish and chips but they looked amazing. I'm a fan
