Went in to taste and grab a bottle if I found one I liked. The guy was very short and seemed to not understand why we were even there! Was interested in a military bottle that he didn't even know what organization it was for! Spent three minutes and left empty handed!! Yes. The answer is yes, I would highly recommend coming here. The answer is yes I will be coming back. Just all around yes! A little zealous? Maybe. But why not be when something is worth it. Walking in, I was greeted with complete warmth and friendly smiles. I had received to go drinks for an event and the one I've tried made a believer in why quality drinks are talked about so much. I'm a wine drinker and don't drink cocktails very often. So this place made me scoot out of that comfort zone and welcomed me with open arms. The drink I had was called Kevinnnnn! Haha themed drinks for the event as stated, which was so adorable! It had whiskey, citrus, spiced honey syrup and orange biters. Everything is made in house and, I must say, I can taste the love! The drink was festive and perfect. I'm a light weight, and these were doubles so its one for me. But! I can't wait to try the other two. I can't wait to come back for date night. read more

What a fun place!! I stopped in while out running errands and was the only one there but I guess not that many people drink whiskey at 2pm on a Wednesday. Met Travis just inside and boy was he a delight to talk to! He told me all about the distillery, the selection of bottles they offer, educated me on some of the laws that just blew my mind, and told me all about what came in the Yelp elite event pack I was picking up. I tried a sample of their Bluefish whiskey and definitely had to by a bottle! Very smooth and bold at the same time. Travis said they were moving to a new location, near Nevada and Fillmore which I am stoked about since I'm more often in that area. Looking forward to the future of Blackhat and my next visit!! My family and I took a distillery tour there & it was a great time! They had us try all of their products and the tour guide was super knowledgeable. After the tour, we decided to eat at the distillery and loved the Colorado cheesesteak and Reuben we got. The sausage & mash potato plate was sub par but still a decent meal. Highly recommend the Reuben though! They do not mess around with their sandwiches. Overall it's a cute little hidden gem in Colorado Springs and I definitely bought a few bottles of their Vodka, Blue Agave spirit (tequila) and another interesting apple cider liquor. Love Blackhat! The only way to go now is by tour on a Saturday at noon or 2:00. So worth the cost. We got to learn all about distillation of agave, rum and whiskey. Great experience at this unconventional distillery. Blackhat bucks the Colorado trend of offering only whiskey by producing a full catalog of spirits, including some of the most unusual rum I've ever enjoyed. I love their old fashioned made with their Duelers Agave (Tequila that's not made in Mexico). It's honestly one of the best old fashioned cocktails I've ever had. I even bought a bottle to take home! This was a very pleasant experience today. Sunday is Taco day & they were awesome. Our bartender is an artist really. We did a tasting & everything was really good. Jim makes one if not the best old fashioned I've ever had. He then made me a creamsicle drink that was amazing. This place is amazing!!! Montana makes amazing cocktails. We ordered some for Thanksgiving to include the old fashioned which is incredible, the Trillby which was a great fall drink and the vegan sweater weather which was so delicious. She delivered them which is a great COVID option. We went there on a Sunday a few weeks ago too and the bartender that day, Jim, was also great. The space is so nice and cozy for when indoor is an option. Highly recommend supporting this great small business for all your cocktail needs! read more

Montana is amazing!!! She welcomed us with such a friendly upbeat attitude. After we sat at a table we asked to move to the couch area once it became available and she happily accommodated us. She also politely enforced the mask rule to other guests entering. The cocktails we ordered are all strong, fresh and beautifully made. Me, as the typical Malibu drinker was overwhelmed by my drink.
