It is a funny, energetic, musical version of Monty Python's search for the holy Grail. The theater is very historical and fun to visit. It is upstairs and used to be a Dancehall! For Spamalot, the bar offered a specialty drink, called the Excalibur, which had rum, amaretto, and various fruit juices and was very tasty!

The Grand Entry Hall is a soaring lobby that can accomodate private events and is the main display space for art shows. There is also an Event Hall that opens to the outdoor Terrace Theater. Concessions available are beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks. The facility is really quite spectacular. I recently visited to view the Roland Bernier retrospective which included a substantial selection of his work from the 1980s/1990s. The expansive lobby provided an excellent setting for his large-scale works. Additional art display space is available in the long hallway that leads from the lobby to the administration offices. The Arts Center has a busy schedule of theatrical and musical events that are presented in the Main Stage and Terrace theaters. There is also a regular schedule of art exhibits. This is a well-designed complex that offers many reasons to visit for those with an interest in many areas of the arts.

By far the best in the area-- the instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and go the extra mile to help students to excel. They offer a wide variety of classes and levels-- including contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, and hip hop, as well as fitness classes like WillPower and Grace, Zumba, and their newly added yoga classes. The space itself is gorgeous, bright, clean, spacious, and full of natural light. Right in the heart of downtown, it shows how community oriented the studio is. They frequently host companies, performances, and workshops from Denver and make an effort to give scholarships to students in need. They have become a pillar in Salida's art community and I am so happy to see them continue to grow. You won't be disappointed!

Live theater is not only a dying art, but live magic is something that most people will go their whole lives without seeing. I might a bit biased as I am a magician, but Joe and Carol do this thing right. Not only are they great and friendly people, they are terrific performers and magicians. I attended for a friends work party, and they let them have drinks and food before the show. Joe and carol did a nice mix of close-up and parlour magic, with some mentalism mixed in. It was a small group and they handled it very well. I don't think anyone really knew what to expect but by the end they were all very impressed. They also do lectures for magicians and bring in some of the biggest names in magic to not only do lecture but perform. If you live in Castle Rock, make sure and get a ticket to a show at least once. You will probably end up coming back for more and you will not regret it. Anyone these guys bring in will be worth watching. They tackle tough subjects, they've done some hilarious comedies. It's just always a great evening or afternoon at the theater. And their concession stand, is pretty fantastic too.

Checking in was a breeze, confessions was smooth, finding our seats was easy as there were guides to help out. You can't beat the ticket price. 100% worth the drive from the Springs down here.
