My daughter loves coming to this park because it's well kept, you can ride scooters and bicycles that have been donated to the park and you just leave it there once you're done using it. The also have a track around the park for runners and people who want to walk with a view. Besides the playgrounds, there are also baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts and everything is in immaculate condition. I don't see any cons at all for this park and like I said it's the best one I've see so far in New Hampshire. If you and your kids are looking for a new park, be sure to give this one a try. It has it all, trust me!

This place is disgusting. It honestly seems as if it should have been officially closed, or it IS closed but no updates. A small family came and promptly left in the time I was walking the space.

Took some great photo shots today! There is a rusted piece of machinery that looks like was left behind with difficulty of removal. Very neat to take some vivid photos with. My husband spotted a few platforms that look like are set up for camping ... if that is the case, we are in for some camping in the summer! :) Definitely a place to go for some nice walks ... change it up with Robert Frost Farm and the Windham rail trail! And! please note that it is easy to drive right by this place ... the sign somewhat blends in with the surroundings.

It also serves as the back up water supply for Salem. I live close to the lake and love to see and hear wild life such as loons, duck, bald eagles, and more. Some people do fish the lake and it has mostly perch, bass, pickerel, and other small trash fish. There is no public beach (actually out of all the 5 lakes in Salem, there is no public beach or access which is a huge negative and public issue) however there are some areas that one can park and access the lake to swim or put in a kayak on town owned land. I kayak on the lake and there are islands to explore and it is so peaceful and the water so clean! It is hard to believe that we are only 45 minutes from Boston! A hidden gem!

Would recommend gym shoes, but I made it around just fine in sandals in case you forget some. Everything is clearly marked and labeled and I wish we lived closer, I can guarantee my husband and I would be visiting all the time. Life jackets are provided of course and we have to sign waivers. The river route is so long and scenic and will definitely take hours. The staff are really helpful as well. My only complaint is that they only have fixed full day rental rate. I wish they also have half day rate for people who only wanna spend a short time. - 7.5/10
