Eventually, I had to go to the self-serve pump, figure it out, and try to manage it despite my physical limitations. The only positive was that the instructions on the pump were decent. While I was pumping my own gas, an employee came out for a smoke break, and I could still see another inside the store. The fuel industry wanted to have self-serve in Oregon and said there'd always be someone to pump gas for those of us with challenges; what a bunch of B.S. Guess the Shell station across the street from you will get my business in the future.

Are you going to buy air freshener?" This was extremely unprofessional, aggressive, and unnecessary, especially considering the employee had unlocked the restroom and allowed me to use it in the first place. No customer should be treated like that. Management should seriously address this employee's behavior. If it isn't handled appropriately, I will consider taking further action regarding how this situation was handled.

I've rarely had to wait long for the attendants to come to my car. Even during the busy times, there is rarely a wait to get to a spot at the pump. The convenience store part of the station is lackluster and small. It is not a branded AM/PM store, like so many other Arco Stations have. The bathrooms are fairly clean but need to be opened by a cashier. Getting out of the station can be difficult during busy times, especially if you need to go west on State St or south on 17th, however it's not the fault of the station and has no bearing on my rating. A nice gem for gasoline in the heart of Salem.
