I walked in having trouble with our garage door remote. It's been beat up and I questioned if a new one was needed. Without hesitation, they took my remote to the back, cleaned the battery terminals, and said for me to have a great day. Free of charge. Cannot thank them enough. Looking forward to financially supporting this business in the near future! read more

I am so pleased with Salem Overhead Door. They did an amazing job installing my door. They came just when they said they would, walked me through how to operate my door and set my code. The installer took his time installing my door, but I am glad because he did it right. He was friendly and very professional. He even cleaned up everything and took the old door with him. If you are looking to purchase a new garage door, I highly recommend Salem Overhead door. I had such a great experience. Kat D. read more

Bill, the owner, is a great guy but do not call Ellen in the office after you have the door installed if you want to deal with your repairs or warranty! read more

They answer the phone, customer service is great - pleasant even. They had someone come out quickly. I was given estimates for repair or replace. Prices were fair. They completed the replacement in no time at all. Overall a very smooth process and I would definitely use them again. read more

I was pleased with the response time (answered right away, came right out, etc.) Team members from the secretary to the technicians all worked well together. I was a little disappointed with the high cost. We broke a spring on one side, they convinced us to replace both springs... with the triage service call, the install, and the cost of the springs, it totaled close to $500. We called the company we had used in the past and they quoted us around $350 for the same job. A little disappointing to spend $500 for a broken spring, but they provided good service. read more

Had our garage door serviced today. Each time we've used SOD, it has been a great experience. Today, it was incredible. Cameron (Cam), the technician, was hands down, one of the most professional, kind, helpful young men, I've seen in a long time. What struck me the most, is that he was on the younger side, and sadly, professionalism, patience and respect, isn't something you find all the time with the younger population. Cam exhibited all of these things. I would continue to highly recommend Salem Overhead Door. Always a pleasant experience! read more

We recently had an overhead garage door installed by Salem Overhead Door and we are very pleased with their service. The door we chose, with Billy's help, is a Carriage Door style. It is beautiful! We are doing some repairs to the outside of our home and wanted the garage door to match our other doors. Salem Overhead Door painted our door and it's a PERFECT match. The door and hardware are top quality materials. The installation was done by well-trained, competent professionals. They attended to such details as making sure the windows were so clean they sparkle! Billy, Ellen and Benny (the installer) are great people to deal with. I highly recommend Salem Overhead Door. read more

I want to give a shout-out to Rachel and the technician who saved me on Thursday. I'll spare the details, but I was held hostage in my garage, and it took me a while in the pouring rain to get out. I talked to Rachel at 10:30, and she promised to call at 12. She did (who does that anymore?). By the time I returned home the garage door was like new. Best customer service I've had in a long time. read more

ALL GOOD! Glad we got a second quote from Salem Door since the first company that looked at our struggling garage door proclaimed it not worth fixing, and wanted to both replace the rails and the door itself. We were looking to have the rails fixed and nothing more, they refused to even quote repair-only and instead delivered a quote for replacement & repair, that was also twice the amount ballparked by the person that came out to assess. We figured out we'd used Salem Door many years ago so went to them for a second opinion - net/net, they fixed the rails yesterday for a fraction of the cost and laughed when we described both the initial assessment and quote. Door fixed, works like a champ, we're laughing now as well. read more

I recently had one of my garage door openers replaced. Their technician diagnosed the problem and had my door running smoothly again. I definitely recommend SOD and will use them again in the future. read more

Manny and Scott were great--showed up quickly and early the same day I called, were friendly, fixed the non-working door so it works perfectly now. Couldn't have asked for anything better! I'll be calling them again. read more

We just had both garage doors replaced by Salem Overhead and they did an awesome job. Bill helped us pick out just the right doors and didn't try to steer us into something that was unreasonably priced for what we needed. The new doors are beautiful and the installation was quick and professional. I would definitely recommend them and would call them again in the future. read more

I'm a longtime Salem Overhead Door customer. Recently had an issue with a door failing to close . I tried cleaning electric eye to no avail. So I called to make a service appointment. Ellen asked what the problem was and suggested a few things I could do myself before making an appointment. Looks like someone in my family must have bumped the electric eye and I was able to re-align it myself at no cost. So its great that the person answering the phone is knowlegable and willing to help out for free . I did see one other post were someone thought service fee was a little high, but you have to factor in many cases they help out at no charge at all. And this is not the first time they have suggested do it yourself fixes!! read more

Wow! Just when we thought caring, personal service was dead we ran into Salem Overhead Door! Dillon showed up bang on-time, was efficient, capable, competent and personable. He went above and beyond in fixing our ancient garage door and checked everything else out as well. Pricing was more than reasonable too. Wish we could give more than five stars! Highly recommended! read more

This is a longtime family owned and run business. The products they sell are top quality. I am very pleased with the garage door, opener and accessories they installed. The service, when needed, is quick, responsive and reasonably priced. Much better operation than several others I have used in the last 30 years on the North Shore. read more

We just had our garage doors serviced by Salem overhead door. I could not be happier. I called a few other local places and I'm glad I went with this company. Thank you Bill.. read more

Like other reviewers here, we tried another local company (and reviewed them as well!) and we won't make that mistake EVER again. THIS company is quite simply TERRIFIC!! When we called them, they came right out to inspect our broken garage door coil spring. While here, they effected a temporary repair so that the door was operational until they could come back with the necessary parts. (Other company didn't even bother... That's OK though, because it meant we called S.O.D. !! ;-) ) The following day they came back, during the promised window of time, to replace the coils with new ones. I don't think our garage door was ever so quiet as it is now. This company knows how to treat their customers - friendly, courteous, good communication, quality workmanship... We'll definitely call them again should we need repairs in the future. Thank YOU Salem Overhead Door! read more

What a fantastic company! They are friendly, helpful, and will 'go the extra mile' for you, besides having a great door. My door and door opener were installed in less than 4 hours. The workmen were very meticulous, and did a great job hanging a door that is sealed tight in a space that was not straight. They programmed my remotes, and left my garage in spic and span condition, even taking the old door and door opener with them. I give them the highest praise for the staff, the product, and the workmen. If you need a new garage door, or opener, you don't have to look any further than Salem Overhead Door. read more

Repaired our old doors then replaced with new. Quick, efficient, great service in their Salem showroom. I highly recommend!
