From the beginning, Jayden, Dylan, Jeremy, and Michelle have been some of the nicest and most welcoming people I've met. Over time, I've actually built genuine friendships with them, and that's probably one of the things I appreciate most about Blend. It feels less like you're walking into a business and more like you're walking into a place where people actually know and care about each other. The family has also been a really positive influence. They're the kind of people who are willing to talk with you, listen, and make you feel welcome whether you're having a good day or going through a rough one. Blend has become a place where people can come to relax, meet new people, make friendships, and just have a positive environment to be around. They have kava, protein shakes, acai bowls, and food if you're looking for something to eat. The customer service is great, and they're always willing to answer questions and explain what they offer. They recently remodeled the place too, and it looks great. The lighting, music, seating, and overall atmosphere make it a really comfortable place to hang out. Whether you stop in during the day or later at night, they do a great job creating a chill atmosphere. There are also plenty of good food spots along the strip, so it's an easy place to stop by and make part of your afternoon or evening. I originally stopped by on a whim, but I've ended up making some really good friendships here. That alone says a lot about the kind of environment they've created. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend giving Blend a try. Come in, grab something, hang out for a while, and meet the people. He finishes, then picks up his paper bag by the handles, and the bag breaks. The beers shatter when they hit the ground, and there are glass shards and beer all over the floor. The self-checkout supervisor at the time was with someone who appeared to be a manager (?). Instead of apologizing or offering to help, the manager (or perhaps just entitled fellow employee) turned to the self-checkout employee and said, "Didn't you tell him not to carry the bag by the handles?" And then walks away!! This move was especially egregious because the employee supervising the self-checkout appeared to be someone with special needs! Blaming this employee for the problem was not only absurd, but actually abusive. The customer with the broken bag was left to try to clean up the broken glass himself (!), while my husband stood there pleading to the thin air, "Can someone please help this man?" Honestly, I think we all know Safeway isn't the classiest place to shop, but this experience was revolting. I couldn't find an appropriate place on the Safeway web site to complain about the event, so I'm relegated to using Yelp.

I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

Many of the fruit and vegetable vendors have clean, cut samples for their customers to "try before you buy" so you can really sample their quality. The middle vendors offer coffee, lemonade, matcha or other cold drinks as well as hot food options (cinnamon rolls, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, empanada filled pies. The chickpea flour is currently on sale for just **$0.38 per pound**, down from the regular price of **$3.89 per pound**. I was getting ready to fill several bags from the bulk bin when Mario from the produce department let me know they had an already- filled opened bag with just a couple pounds of the contents missing about 38 pounds in the back. That saved me the time and effort of emptying the bin, which probably would have taken close to an hour! Mario taped up the bag securely, I checked out and Mario even brought it out to my car.
