Salad Plus delivers to my job and offers to do bulk orders and delivery often. Their food is always fresh, portions are big and delivery is quick. I have been ordering for years now and have never been disappointed. I've never actually been to the store so I don't know if you can eat there or if it's just a takeaway spot. I can say the cobb salad is my favorite but the chicken salad is yummy and wraps always good too. It's a perfect place to order lunch. read more

I used to love this place and the customer service was amazing. They have a new owner and my orders are consistently mess. I received a salad today with a hair in the tuna fish. My hair is in a bun and not the color or texture of the hair in the salad. I received a half apology that was more of a questioning and me letting me know no one there had black hair. They said they would refund me so we will see. Such a shame that this place has gone so far down hill. read more

I am so disappointed in this place. I ordered 2 tuna sandwiches on rye. When I got home, I opened the package and discovered that I basically got a tomato and lettuce sandwich with a thin coating of tuna inside 2 pieces of packaged rye bread( yuck). I called them to complain and asked how they could serve something like that. The owner said none of my customers complained. For $19.00 I shouldn't feel hungrier than when I started eating. I work very near to this place. See the delivery driver in our building parking lot now and again. So I thought I would give them a try. Ordered over the phone, the guy who took my order was very nice and professional. I ordered a Tuna Salad sandwich. My mistake was not asking about the tuna salad itself, I assumed like most restaurants in Boca, the tuna salad would be fresh with celery, mayonnaise, maybe onion etc..unfortunately it wasn't. It can best be described as a tuna spread, similar to a whitefish spread you might get on a bagel. You could barely see the tuna, it was mostly mayonnaise with no added ingredients. Definitely variety! Definitely fresh! Definitely a keeper! Stuck at work so I ordered a gyro on whole wheat pita to be delivered. Food came in promised time and for less than $8, I got a pretty decent-sized gyro with marinated lamb and fresh lettuce and tomatoes with a side of pickles and chips. Ordered a salad from here online and was quoted 30 minutes. As this is too long to wait I immediately tried to cancel but when I called, someone picked up the phone and hung up. I got a call basically demanding that I come get the salad by 3 and reluctantly I agreed but couldn't leave work. I have ordered from here a couple times for lunch. The delivery can be kinda slow and the food is just ok. Salads are very big and the veggies are always fresh, but the proteins like the the chicken are ok. They don't seem to be a high quality meat. I placed a large order for lunch recently for a meeting and needed to feed 8 people. No one really loved their lunch and some actually hated theirs. 3 people said they felt sick to their stomachs later that night. Their orders were basic sandwiches and wraps. I'm really not one to write bad reviews, but relatively erked by today's experience with (my usual favorite/order 3/4 times a week) Salad Plus... I paid extra (I know it's only .50c) for the Balsamic Vinaigrette and just got the regular Vinaigrette (which is no extra cost). I was less concerned about the mix up, and more concerned about what happened when I called to express concern... Whoever answered the phone was not very apologetic, blamed it on it being a busy afternoon, and thanked me for my understanding... Understanding which I clearly didn't have, as I was calling to express my concern with the mix-up... Fyi for Salad Plus...better customer service would be... 1. Terrible food. I ordered a #30-Roast beef melt on a white pita. The pita literally fell apart because of all the grease. I took the roast beef out and dipped it in mayo just so I would have something to eat. The roast beef was so frickin dry. It stuck together when I took it out of pita. Then I ordered broccoli cheese soup and it had absolutely no flavor. The cheese was sprinkled on the top and the creamy part of the soup was basically a white sauce with no flavor. I was told after ordering that it would be approximately 45 minutes to deliver my wrap. Given that it was lunch rush, I was okay with that wait time. I had ordered at 1230. At 140 I called to see what the delay may have been. The lady who answered told me that the driver left 15 minutes prior to my call. Since they are about 10 minutes from my office I figured cool, he'll be here any minute. At 2 pm I called to cancel my order, this time a man answered, and I do not receive any sort of apology for my order taking over an hour and a half. They cancelled it (supposedly) and I didn't eat. The overall lack of customer service and concern coupled with their horrid delivery service ensures I will not return. read more

They are charging nearly $4 to add chicken to a salad, and then they are charging $.50 for the dressing. I cannot justify spending $15 for a salad. HORRIBLE OWNERSHIP. This used to be my favorite place. must have new owners cause the service I received today was beyond horrific. I ordered my lunch and it was delivered incorrectly after an hour. When I called back to tell them I was told they were short a driver and I would have to wait until their driver came back and they could not tell me how long. Yes I was a little bothered after already waiting the hour. The OWNER showed up to deliver my food and proceeded to instruct me HOW I SHOULD TALK TO HIM. I asked him nicely to leave my place of business. In the presence of my entire office he slammed our front door so hard he nearly broke it. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Hi, I just happened to stumble into Salads Plus one Day. I was in the area around lunch time and I was very hungry for a lunch sandwich and salad. I am a transplanted New Yorker and everybody knows how picky we are as far as food goes. I went in and I was greeted with a Big Smile and a sincere how can I help you. I said to myself if the food is as good as the reception I got I would be very happy. Well I didn't have to wait long for my sandwich and salad and I went out to my car. I was going to drive home with it but it smelled so good I ate it in the parking lot, I couldn't wait. I enjoyed every bite so instead of leaving I went back inside, I just had to tell the management how much I enjoyed what they had made me. The owner Ed came over and I told him I was a very fussy eater and I just wanted to let him know how my first empression was. I told him I will go out of my way and come back just to enjoy another one of his specialities. So coming from a Fussy New Yorker if you go to Salads Plus you will not be disappointed. I and a few co-workers order from this place occasionally (on average, once every other week), I like most of their food and they deliver, which is a huge plus. However, I never thought their prices were commensurate to the food. I just received their new menu today (delivered by a guy who actually thanked me for being so polite, odd, but ok). They have raised their prices on several things which, in my mind, does not make sense. For instance, last year's menu charged .50 for a small extra container of dressing, they raised it to .65 now. Really? Has the cost of salad dressing gone up? The large container used to be .85, now its 1.25?!?! .40 cents???? That is ridiculous! Extra cheese is now .75, used to be .50, I'll let that go since the cost of milk does increase. They raised the prices on all but 3 of their sides, all 3 desserts and cookies. I was considering trying their Reese's Peanut Butter Pie the next time I order, but not for $3.95. And .95 for a single cookie? That must be one hell of a cookie.
