Perfectly serviceable slice place in gas station. Nowhere to sit, FYI, but a little better than usual gas station options.

I think this is the pizza around. Good flavor options and fast. I always come here when coming through Ashland.

Ample parking in the lot next door and across the street. It took a little longer than I anticipated for the order to come out, but that's OK. We were enjoying the vibe. I had leftovers three days later, and the slices held up well. Highly recommend. Go out of your way to go here!

This is the best pizza (that I've had, anyways ...) in New Hampshire. It makes all the 'best of'…read morelists and news articles ... not because it is totally amazing pizza, but because it's always consistent and very good. The staff is also well-trained and friendly. I made a mistake in ordering the other day, I figured might help you. Normally I get a plain cheese, or pepperoni pizza. Simple and perfect every time. Great cheese to sauce ratio ... cheese that extends all the way to the crust ... and the sauce is not that overly sugary cheap crap a lot of Greek-style pizza joints use. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken the other day, which was a huge (and expensive) disappointment. None of us liked it ... it was dry, bland and salty at the same time ... and just not what we would expect from Tilton House of Pizza. There were 3 guys eating a large pizza (which is hearty and large!) and there was leftover, which nobody wanted to take. (unheard of!) The problem seems to be that this pizza is dried out chicken tenders (in fairness, you get a LOT of dried out chicken tenders) which are brushed with buffalo sauce. The pizza itself has no tomato sauce on it!! No blue cheese dressing, as far as we could tell. It was simply cheese, cut up chicken tenders and crust. Zero taste, except for the salt. They give you an average cup of RANCH??? dressing for dipping, which indicates that they know there is an issue with this pizza. I refuse to give anything lower than 4 stars to this place ... because the cheese and pepperoni, I know are amazing. However, I'd say that it was wasted calories to eat this pizza as the Buffalo Chicken recipe needs reworking. The tomato sauce is essential ... or at least tomato sauce mixed with buffalo sauce, or even blue cheese. I will still go 20 - 30 minutes out of my way to get Tilton House of Pizza every time ... just will never get this buffalo chicken pizza again. Make sure you order ahead of time ... like WAAAAY ahead of time. It took 1.5 hours on a Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. from order until pickup. That's crazy! Even at 4 p.m. on a Thursday, the wait was 40 minutes on a phone in order.

One reason for sopping by... We came over here after a full day and were getting home a bit later than usual so cooking was out of the question. The manager asked us for our option and we decided on the upstairs. We made the right choice. Cozy, welcoming, and pleasant atmosphere. The rustic environment, and farm-related chotchkies all around give the place a special ambiance. The cheese and cracker trays are sinful as all heck but they are a good start on a long day. After ordering brews, we settled on ordering food. We shared delicious chicken tenders and then I ordered a Sesame Tuna Salad which was superb. Wait service was exemplary. Glad we came over and will be here again.

We we ordered a Tossed salad, an order of buffalo wings, and a simple pie we built. Tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The pizza was okay. All the toppings were on the inner half of the pie, so the toppings made the end of the slice really floppy, and after the first third of the slice, it was only cheese. Felt like it was thrown together. The tossed salad, had 2 olives, and overly large handful of slivered onions, 3 tomato pcs, and green pepper strips, half of which were like 1/4 pepper sections and a single portion of dressing. Definitely not worth the $10 price point. The wings were okay, but lacking buffalo sauce. Tasted like pre-packaged frozen wings that come with the seasons/spice already on it, and all they do if drop them in the fry-o-lator. Overall we ended up with a $60 bill for Take out for the above items. The pizza was almost 40 bucks for the 16 inch large, because Building your own was over $3 per item. The kid on the phone was pleasant, and energetic, and we ended up with him in person when we went in for the pick up. Place seemed clean, but definitely gave feel that take out is their mainstay. Would try some place else next time we are in the area.

Growing up in Meredith, Matthew pours his heart into every pizza, using Italian-imported tomatoes, non-GMO dough, and homemade sauces that bring authentic Italian flavors to town. We tried two pies on our visit: Steak and Cheese -- Alfredo sauce, Philly shaved steak, caramelized onions, green peppers, and fresh mozzarella. Creamy and savory with every bite! Pepperoni, Ricotta & Hot Honey -- Cup & char pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, fresh mozzarella, and homemade sauce. This one was our favorite! The sweet drizzle of hot honey paired with the crispy pepperoni and creamy ricotta was chef's kiss ‍. Absolutely delicious and super flavorful! The sauce itself is on the sweeter side -- personally, I love a crispier base, but that's just my preference! Matthew is even working on a sourdough recipe , and I'm excited to come back and try it once it's ready! Overall: 7/10 Great quality ingredients, hometown heart, and a cozy local vibe. If you love a doughier, sweeter pizza crust, you'll be in heaven! Can't wait to see how the sourdough evolves and to try more flavors in the future!

We paid $30 for 20 wings and when we got back to the house, we were extremely disappointed. Previously, the wings had been meaty but these were the tiniest wings we have ever seen and had barely any meat on them. We basically paid over a dollar per wing and got absolutely nothing but bones with a whole bunch of buffalo sauce on it. We go there because we've had good service and the food has been good, but they aren't the least expensive option. Hoping that this was just a fluke and not a new standard because it is not up to their previous quality.
