I used to like this place... but tonight was my second bad experience in a row. I ordered a margherita pizza and a small salad. I received garlic bread instead of a salad, and a cheese pizza with a few tomato slices and tiny pieces of burnt basil on top. If you pay for margherita, you want margherita. Fresh basil, lots of it, and buffalo mozzarella. The "cherry" on top was the pieces of meat around the edge that I did not order on my own pizza (I'm vegetarian). Someone who works there right now either doesn't know what a margherita pizza is, or doesn't care, which is a real insult to NY Style Pizza. :( read more

We called tonight at 7:50pm on our way in to our place in Moultonboro to get a sandwich. They said they closed at 8:00pm so it would be ready in 10 minutes. We explained that we were in Alton so would not make it in time, they said no problem and they would still be there cleaning. We were so happy as we had been traveling for 3 hours and most places closed at 7:00 or 8:00. The Italian sub was delicious! We will definitely stop on our way in many more times this summer . $26 for a cheese pizza, garlic bread, and buffalo wings. The wings were cold and soggy. The pizza was cold, like it wasn't cooked specifically for my order. More likely it was sitting around for an hour and they gave it to me. The garlic bread was awful and covered with hair. Hair. I haven't eaten in 24 hours. It wouldn't take much to impress me right now. What a ripoff. 0/10 would not recommend. Louis Pizza is right across the street and is 10x better. I've made a horrible mistake. read more

The first time we went in, there were a bunch of young guys working in the kitchen. They were loud and goofing around. The dining area was hot and crowded, standing room only. Everyone was taking their pizza to go. We waited nearly an hour for our pizza and it was wrong. Thirty minutes later when they brought us the correct pizza, we were underwhelmed by the taste and quality. The second time I was actually picking up for my parents while I was in town. They called and ordered before I left. It's a twenty minute drive, but when I arrived the kid at the register informed me that "yeah yeah, they're almost to your order." They had not even started it. So I took a seat in the empty dining area. There was a similar group of boys in the kitchen, talking loud, goofing off. I was really hoping this place would be better. We ordered a large cheese pizza which came out to 11.98. Well the size of their large is about the same as a store bought frozen pie but what really got me was the toppings.. or rather the lack of it. a cheese pizza should have CHEESE on it.. it should cover the entire pie..but this thing had just patches of cheese thinly tossed across the top. read more

Maybe I can understand the mixed reviews, but appreciate that Anthony's is really a one, sometimes 2 person show. When he's on, which is most all of the time, my wife and I consider Anthony's to be some of the best pizza we have had in New Hampshire. Great place to stop in and grab a few quick slices. Tonight I ordered from Anthony's for the first time, it was a dreadful experience all around. First off, my very small order of two appetizers and a 20oz soda took a hour to get to my house which isn't very far from the restaurant (the delivery driver did apologize for the wait, which was very nice of her) My food was cold, and they forgot my drink as well! This place is a disaster. Dirty, food is so-so, making food with bare hands, owner is a hot head. I was told my order was going to take 30 minutes and at 50 minutes when I asked for status (I didn't inquire any sooner because I knew they were busy, I was trying to be patient) saying it had been almost an hour, he blew up at me. Turns out they had made 3 out of 4 items I'd ordered and those had been sitting around. When he realized he'd forgotten a pizza he knew it was his mistake but he started throwing boxes, mimicking me "it's been an hour" and then yelled "I don't give a fu%k." I watched him make someone else's order, chicken Parmesan, and he opened a container of cold pasta and grabbed a handful with his bare hands and then grabbed three pieces of chicken with bare hands and put them into the oven. Slamming the oven door, yelling at his two employees. I desperately wanted to walk out but I had already paid, I had three starving kids sitting in the car and it was late. Got a large pepperoni - very tasty but it was limited pepperoni - about 3 per slice for the 8 slices. They also increased their prices but the printed menus they hand out and have on the tables don't reflect them. I was told with a modest attitude that "New menus are coming and it states prices are subject to change without notice". NY guy living in Worcester, up in NH for the weekend. First off, you can't find Sicilian pie or slices in Worcester. It's my fave. Saw the name 'Anthony's Old Style' up here in NH and had to go for it. Ordered a Sicilian, half cheese, half pepperoni, well-done. The woman obliged and gave me an hour timeframe. I ended up there 20 minutes early and got to talk to Anthony. Very cool dude and his to-go slices look like NYC slices, amazing. He admitted that the pie wasn't "well done' as i requested but we took a peek together and I was happy w the results. Got it home and let it cool for a minute. Started with a corner of the cheese side. First bite, this pie is amazing, cooked just short of perfect, the cheese was fresh and delicious. But, the real hero of the slice was the sauce. This is easily one of the best sauces on a pie, I have ever tasted. It's the perfect mix of tomato, garlic and basil. The basil is what wins it for me. It was just the most perfect amount. Not heavy-handed, but got more attention first bite than the crust usually dominates. So, for this I go a hard four, would return again, definitely. Only deductions are for; no delivery on a Friday night, & while it was cooked quite well, i would have liked another 120 seconds in the oven. read more

Very impressed! I stopped in with my coworker for lunch. We consider ourselves quite the food critics. As we enjoy checking out pizza and sandwich shops for lunch, we found Anthony's with a small space in a "plaza unknown". He grabbed some slices of pizza and was instantly impressed. I ordered the toasted Italian. I usually like true cold cuts sandwiches but the man preparing the sandwich suggested I get it in their deli size and toasted. He was persistent and confident about the order. As the sandwich was placed in front of me he announced, " Best sandwich you'll ever have. This is what I eat." My first bite was absolutely delicious and this experience was maintained throughout the duration of my meal. I look forward to eating at Anthony's again. Great spot! I like the crust. Service is sometimes really bad. For example, I put in my order at 8:01. They say 15 minutes. I get there at 8:11. They say I'm 10 minutes early (bad math). Then at 8:22, they come out and ask me what I ordered because they lost my slip. I didn't get my order until 8:40. The website doesn't have an email to contact the owner, so you can never tell him how bad service is when he is not around. read more

Placed an order online on their website. Ordered two orders of wings - one hot and one mild. Called to let them know we didn't receive the mild ones. Happened to be speaking to the manager who was extremely rude and said there was only one order. I let him know that I had an email receipt showing my order and he continued to say he didn't have it on his screen. He continued to be rude and condescending. He then said he would make them and hung up on me. As a manager I can't believe this is how you treat your customers. First time and LAST I will ever order here. When in doubt about where to find the BEST pizza...always ask the locals! That's what we did and we were pleasantly surprised to find Anthony's. It's a small New York style pizza restaurant in a strip mall; easy to find. We had a thin crust cheese pizza and a chef salad and both were DELICIOUS! In fact we loved their food so much we went back the next day for more. The owner, Tony, was very friendly and talkative. Pretty young lady who worked there was really nice, too. Alright, I will first start off by saying that I am not a confrontational guy, and I under no circumstances ever thought that on bike week I would have been treated with such disrespect. Here is my story about my encounter with the owner of this business. On Thursday June 16, 2016 during the events of bike week, myself and my girlfriend decided to stop to get something to eat at a little shop I was familiar with having gone to high-school right up the street (Kingswood). I have since graduated and decided to go to Skelly's Market which just so happens to be the adjacent store just to the left of Anthony's. We walked in grabbed a few things and left. This was bike week so it was not like we had a vehicle to eat in, so we found a picnic table outside and sat down. A few minutes into our lunch a man came out of Anthony's and put a few things on the picnic table and walked away. Unbeknown to us we had been sitting at a picnic table that was owned by Anthony's and had been reserved for his customers only. We had no idea and nobody had even told us that this table was reserved. We continued eating, and trying to finish our meals as we had a long day ahead as we had planned to travel to Conway up the Kancamagus Highway and back to Laconia to attend Bike Week festivities. A customer inside Anthony's pointed out that there were no seats outside and that they would just sit inside. Just after this was said the owner of Anthony's very clearly tried to make myself and my girlfriend by stating "yeah it's very frustrating having people that buy stuff at Skelly's come over here to my tables, but its just the way they are raised around here." I am not under any circumstances a hospitality expert nor is my girlfriend, and I am sure not a perfect human being either but I know that exploiting people like that in front of your customers is not how you run a business. As soon as we overheard him ranting about us we both got up from the table and discarded the rest of our lunch. If the owner of Anthony's would have just asked us to leave or explained to us that the table was reserved for Anthony's customers we would have surely both left the table. When confronted about his disrespect for us, he told us to stop making a scene and that he didn't have enough f***ing time for this, then proceeded to threaten us by calling the cops. His shop had a single customer inside. We both left and nothing more was said, it was quite the start to our long ride. The way I was raised apparently has everything to do with where I sit down to eat my lunch. As far as Anthony's Pizza goes I will never find out if it is good or not, nor do I know so I apologize in advance if you are looking for a food review but this is not one. I review people based on how polite they are and if they are good at what they are doing. The owner is in the hospitality business and needs to learn how to treat people with poise and not aggression. Even if he had said that we needed to buy something to sit in those seats we would have gladly purchased something or moved entirely. A little bit of respect goes a LONG WAY. If you aren't looking to be treated like garbage I would suggest avoiding his shop. 1/5 stars is not a low enough score for this place. read more

I love Anthony's pizza. Definitely some of the best in town. Although the place is small and becomes extremely hot in the summer, (I can only imagine how the staff feel standing next to the ovens!) this is one of the best take out spots. This is not a restaurant but it is a very good NY Style/ Italian pizza shop. They make a thin crust and put on just enough of a good sauce. I've eaten in once but most times have done take out. The dinning room can be very hot because it is not air conditioned. Take out has always been ready when they said it would be. I usually have a 15 minute ride from our cottage so I plan for that when ordering. I've mostly got plain cheese but a few time some one topping like bacon or meatballs. The bacon was flavorful and plentiful. The meatball was not so tasty and a bit skimpy. It was more lke crumbled hamburg, I wouldn't get that again. read more

Anthony's is the go to pizza joint in the Wolfeboro area. I've been eating their pizza for about ten years, and for good reason. I vacation to this area about once a year and making a stop at Anthony's is a necessity each and every time. They've had multiple locations throughout the region and they're currently only in Wolfeboro. If you're looking for superb thin crust New York style pizza, Anthony's is what you're looking for. I typically get two or three large cheese pizzas for our family and they hit the spot. Their toppings look great, but the cheese pizza is just so classic here. I suggest hitting the place at a non busy time because the seating area is relatively small, but don't let that stop you from checking these guys out because they know their stuff! read more

I ordered a pizza at Anthony's because they are one of the only places that delivers my way, I waited over an hour; 1hr 6mins to be exact (they are less than ten minutes away) the delivery girl was nice but my small children were right there and she used words like "I didn't know where the hell I was" and "surprised my boss comes out here he's cheap" we finally get to eat and open the box to cold pizza. So I call and let the manager know that I was waiting that long for cold pizza and she told me that "it wasn't cold and she didn't know what to tell me" told me she would refund me but had to call me back. I waited for A half hour to get a call back finally I called and a young girl told me the owner has the day off so I could call for the refund tomorrow I asked for the manager who I could hear in the background saying "don't give her anything" she would not get on the phone just kept telling the girl what to say. I asked several times to Speak with her and the young girl kept saying sorry you can not speak with her yet she had no trouble telling the girl everything to tell me?!I asked for her name so when I went in the next morning to get my refund(which is crazy to me) I could let her boss know how badly her management skills were and she wouldn't give me her name but hung up on me. My mind was blown NEVER have I had something this horrendous happen. An hour goes by of me being frustrated wanted to drive there but what would that solve really? And the owner calls me. VERY nice man I will say! I told him what had happened and he handled the situation like an owner/manager should. Very apologetic and easy to talk to. I will add I have previously had great experiences here and yummy pizza but this situation was absolutely mind blowing I can't say that I will or won't give it another shot but i will say it won't be anytime soon and hopefully they can produce a better outcome if their is a next time! read more
