The special Christmas menu offered a good variety of choices and 1 combo meal that had the traditional Xmas meal that came with soup and a slice of pumpkin pie! My meal was a solid 5 stars. I ordered a well, well done (no pink) filet mignon meal. Let me tell you, compliments to the chef. I believe his name was Chef Paul. This was a perfectly seasoned piece of butter tender well done fillet mignon and the broccolini with potatoes and wine sauce really set it off!!! We arrived last minute without a reservation, and despite how busy the evening was, the team graciously found a way to squeeze us in and seat us beautifully. That alone set the tone for an outstanding experience. Our server, Richard, was absolutely wonderful--professional, kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. His service elevated the entire evening, and we felt well cared for the whole time. My mom ordered a well-done filet mignon (she doesn't like any pink at all), which can be a very difficult request. Somehow, the kitchen delivered a steak that was still tender, juicy, and full of flavor. She genuinely said it was the best steak she has ever had, complicated order and all--which says everything. I ordered the steak and prawns, cooked medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. We began with soup: I had the homemade borscht, which was comforting and delicious. My mom had the autumn squash soup, which was equally flavorful and well balanced. For drinks, my mom enjoyed a White Russian, and I had the non-alcoholic cranberry spritz, which was refreshing and thoughtfully crafted. Dessert was the perfect ending: Pumpkin pie for my mom Turtle cheesecake for me--absolutely decadent and memorable What made this experience even more special is that we traveled all the way from Spokane to dine here, and it exceeded every expectation. From accommodating us last minute on Christmas to the impeccable food and service, everything was exceptional. Sometimes it's hard to see people in the caves and I actually thought this guy was a statue. The main pool feels like Luke warm water and the cold plunge is only big enough for maybe 4 people at a time. The caves are really the most desirable place to be if you like it hot. This place was overall much smaller than I expected though. We soaked for over and hour or so and then got ready for our dinner reservations and dinner was really great! It was about $150 for four of us to eat up there in USD. We grabbed some ice cream bars from downstairs as well for dessert. I liked this place and one night was enough. We arrived around 4:30pm, had dinner at 7pm and were in bed by 9pm. The next morning was a soak and then get ready and go. Great trip and lovely customer service.

The suites are mostly 1 and 2 bedrooms and they are spacious, with a living room (sofa bed) and small kitchen. The rooms are clean and each one have a different look. It is definitely not a cookie cutter,nondescript room. It is family run and the owners are friendly and ready with suggestions on dining places and activities. It is just 10-15 minutes drive away from downtown Nelson, so it is quite convenient to get around. It is also near Ainsworth Hot Springs and Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. I will stay here again if I am ever in Nelson.
