A lot of effort went into this place and it's apparent. A lot of effort also goes into the meals that he prepares for you while you are staying there. This place has one of the most kick-ass showers I have ever seen in a private residence! There is a normal shower head then there is the one mounted directly to the ceiling. Then there is steam..... and the hot tub! then the other tub....and the chair with the massage thing. A really nice library, a Harpsichord (!) then there is the pool..... And breakfast! He makes up a whole spread for you for breakfast and not just whatever is being served that day - he gives you a paper with things to check off and you pick. Room 1 is in the very front,right next to main entrance so was woken up by people coming back at 2am from bars.It could pose a problem if you get a lot more night owls lol. There was no one…read morethere when I arrived for check in- they did have a print out on the door saying no one is there after hours (after 430pm) I was there at 3pm. I had to call the number and they had my key in the lockbox. The room was upstairs and there were DEAD BUGS along the baseboards of the room. I had to put a towel at the base of the door to block the 107 degree weather from seeping in because of the gap that was between the floor and the door. The room took forever to cool down, around 2-3 hours. The final straw for me was the mineral pool, it had mold all around the tiles and ground. I contacted management and she was helpful and understanding and I sent her the pictures, I contacted Expedia and left the property the same day. It's has been 3 days and Expedia has not been able to get ahold of anyone at the property to process a refund. The manager was understanding and appalled by what she saw in the pictures and apologized. I was not going to do a review, but now that they are not answering and not allowing the refund I am letting others know so they don't have to go through what I did.

No others have done that and trust me there are 3 other resorts I stay at all the time. Jim and Maurice just care about their clients. Best gay resort in USA.

Speaking of stars, not only is the bed comfortable and the room nice and cool, you can enjoy a view of the stars while you drift to sleep. The bathroom is big enough and the water pressure is great.
