Breakfast in the dinning room by the WATERFALL!
    Justin B.

Just under 30 mins from home, we frequently stay in the Palm Springs area for quick weekend getaways... found this hideaway on Expedia, unique, throwback, beautiful, and intimate... by far the best place I have yet to book a stay in the downtown area! The staff is amazing, there are no resort fees, the Rock Room (we stayed in) has an awesome two person bathtub... I am by far very impressed with this establishment and will definitely stay here again.

    Acanthus Room

If you love historic hotels with beautiful attention to detail, this one is for you. In addition to the pool area, there are lots of peaceful spots to sit and take in the view. We were in the Acanthus room, which was quiet and comfortable with plenty of nice period touches. There is no check-in desk or room service, except for breakfast, but we were happy to breakfast on the upper terrace facing the mountain one day and in the dining room facing the waterfall the next, with tables beautifully set with linens. Breakfasts (included) were delicious, with fruit, muffins, and a main course, with pleasant service. In the evening, complementary wine and hors-d'oeuvres and a chance to chat with fellow guests. The Willows is on a tucked-away cul-de-sac, steps away from plenty of restaurants and shops and it is next to the Palm Springs Art Museum. One day we picked up lunch at On the Mark Fine Foods and Provisions around the corner and brought it back to the Inn and dined outside, as it gave us another opportunity to enjoy the heavenly setting. The Willows seems to be run efficiently with just a few staff. If you are after a club scene by the pool with loud music or if you want round-the-clock room service, this is not the place. Also be aware that there are steps to rooms and to the dining area and one should note the cancellation policy. The Inn is built against a rocky outcrop and there is a path you can climb to gain a staggering view of Palm Springs. We look forward to returning!

    Fabulous views.

This is without a doubt one of the finest lodging establishments in Palm Springs. My husband and I rent out home in the desert and so we try different places when we are there now. What makes the Willows so special is partly it's location and level of service, not to mention a stunning property with views! You have gated parking, a full gourmet breakfast daily by their outdoor waterfall and to top it off the wine and cheese hour is one of the absolute best we've been too. If they add afternoon tea - I would never leave! Every amenity and detail has been thought out for you, so you can just go and enjoy! it's intimate and small and perfect for couples. You have use of the pool and hot tub and you can hike the property with some amazing views of Palm Springs. You are just a block or two from the Palm and Indian Canyon Roads, close to Starbucks and the Coffee Bean (and my favorite Cielo is a manageable walk). Our favorite rooms are overlooking the pool area and are the most reasonable. If you are concerned with cost, don't be because they really deliver what you receive. Go and celebrate that romantic occasion! We will return.

On 1/1, while using the hot tub on site, the chlorine stripped the dye right out of the fabric of my swimsuit within about 10 minutes. By the next morning, my partner's swim shorts were also bleached and permanently damaged. The photos speak for themselves - this was severe chemical damage, not normal wear. While we were at the pool that day, a staff member told us the hot tub had been chlorinated that morning. Two of our personal items were ruined after a single use following same-day maintenance. The total replacement cost for my swimsuit alone is $240. Fabriv damage occurring within minutes is commonly associated with significantly elevated chlorine levels, not normal use. Given how quickly the dye was stripped from our swimwear, this raised serious concerns about whether the facilities were safe for guests to be using at that time. What's far more upsetting than the damage itself is the hotel's lack of response. We reported this while still on property and followed up multiple times afterward. Management was dismissive, denied responsibility, and told us to take it up with Booking.com. Since then, Booking.com has attempted multiple times to contact the hotel on our behalf and the property has not responded at all. Accidents happen. Equipment issues happen. But refusing to acknowledge a clear problem, deflecting responsibility, and then completely ignoring repeated attempts to resolve it is unacceptable. The lack of accountability and communication is what truly ruined this experience.

Suite 14 is tucked at the back of the property behind the spa and it was quiet and lovely. We enjoyed the grab and go bikes to explore town and get breakfast with a little exercise. Each morning breakfast basket was dropped at our door with yogurt, granola, muffins, orange juice and Vietnamese coffee which was delicious. How lovely it was that they did this for us. The main pool area was quiet and we enjoyed the day beds both days. It's such a quaint hotel there was no need to worry about finding a space to sit by the pool. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is an exceptionally well-maintained property. The grounds are pristine, with beautifully curated desert landscaping--clean lines, sculptural cacti, and a classic Palm Springs aesthetic that feels both serene and intentional. The level of cleanliness throughout the property was outstanding--everything felt fresh, polished, and meticulously cared for. Our room was equally impressive--we especially loved the large stand-up shower and the abundance of natural light, which made the space feel bright, open, and relaxing. A special thank you to Adam and his incredible staff, who made our stay truly memorable. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism delivered a seamless, first-class experience from start to finish. The daily breakfast and lunch, included with our stay, were excellent--consistently flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The night I stayed it was $1,000 and many nights are in the $600-700 or above range. You won't find prices under $500. With that in mind it should be luxury. There's nothing luxury here. It's fine, it's clean, it's nice. First the staff, everyone is great. Very friendly, helpful, informative. So no problems there. So I think it's the management and the operator of the hotel. Inside the rooms, even after a recent renovation, it's just fine. There's nothing noticeable and there's nothing I'll think about or mention as a great part of the room. Everything is fine. During conferences or events, they may close certain parts of the hotel to other guests. That happened to me but didn't affect my impression of the hotel. I did speak with front desk to get some fees waived due to facilities being closed to non-conference guests. The other thing is with this resort fees, there's nothing worth any value included. So they advertise fitness facility and internet. That is basic and should be included in the rate, not resort fee. If you want to use the sauna in the spa, that's another $50 day pass fee on top of the resort fee. I understand other hotels do this but I am not into normalizing this. This is more a practice in the US, when you travel to Asia and Europe, saunas are at least included. Fees on top of rates on top of fees is a continuing practice at US hotels that I will be calling out and reflecting in reviews and to hotel staff. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It's fine if you want to check it out. I've stayed at other hotels in the area and would recommend those, esp at this price point you have the world of options.

The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. Having decentralized customer service (through phone numbers and apps) made us feel so unattached from the actual experience.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.

All rooms are a maximum of two people with a hot tub, refrigerator with water, microwave, and coffee maker, air conditioning, and DVD player. If you'd like, bring a DVD and popcorn to enjoy during your stay. The bed was pretty comfortable. There were more than enough pillows which I'm guilty of using more than one pillow while I sleep. I love how the comforter was linen on the outside, but cozy and warm on the inside. The Crooners room has two sinks, but I only used one. There is happy hour everyday at 5pm by the pool or communal area with snacks and beer or wine. During my stay there were chips and salsa and the following day was veggies with dip, with of course a drink of choice. Really nice touch added to my stay. It's been a while since I have stayed in a bed and breakfast and I love the homeyness here. Breakfast is served in the communal dining area with hand sanitizer provided. The three-course breakfast starts with a fruit smoothie, a fruit parfait and a hot breakfast. For breakfast they served blueberry pancakes with sausage and the following day it was quiche with artichoke hearts and potatoes. I loved the service here so much. You sit at a table and they serve the food to you. The pool is open 24 hours will pool floaties available to use as well. Another thing I like about this place is that because there aren't many people (max 40 people at a time) it is highly likely you will get the pool to yourself. When I checked out and left the property I told my husband I would enjoy staying here again. I really enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend you stay here too.
