When I say cool, I mean trendy, contemporary, youthful and any other words you want to use to describe it's 'hip-ness'. The girls who work there are friendly and good fun, and where most hairdressers like to talk (mostly inanely it has to be said) you can actually have a fairly decent conversation and a laugh at the same time with the staff in Rehab. My wife has her hair cut in here, and when she asked for something completely different that's what she got. She was bored with her style and they brought her bang up to date, and with skills you'd expect from a more experienced team. My main experience of Rehab is of taking my toddler son there for his haircuts (my wife banned me from clippering his hair along with mine!). To be fair, he is a really well behaved kid anyway, but they all coo over him and genuinely do make a difference to the experience for him I think. The prices are very reasonable too, and in comfortable, spacious, friendly surroundings they seem all the more worthwhile. After trying the majority of the local places, my wife has really found a favourite in Rehab, so if you need a trim you could find worse places to go. Oh, and it's Unisex - cool enough too that blokes won't feel stupid going in there.

The prices are keen considering you get a cut/colour that rivals any top salon. I attend myself as do my children and the service is as good for my 3 year old son having a cut for a couple of quid as it is for someone spending £100 +, you even get a lollipop if you're good and sit still!

Everything I wanted for my colour (which was not easy because I needed a several tones) was discussed and taken on board. I walked out feeling valued as a customer and as a person. The first impression was lovely place, however upon consultation a deposit was asked of me and a…read morefriend wich i found fishy. I'd never had to pay any other salons a deposit in the past, but agreed as they seemed to know what they were talking about. On the day of our appointment i was with a completly different person to whom i had a consultation with, throughtout my appointment i felt products were being pushed on me and the staff seemed to have a hint of sarcasm and patronising tones to them.. As my appointment came to an end my friend was still getting her hair done. She had just had it bleached and now they were bleaching it again! She was very fair so there was no need for this at all and ended up with a patchy mismatched and completely different colour to what she had asked for, as the second lot of bleach was on she felt sick and it had to be rinsed sooner, although she didnt have to pay the remaining total i still find it unprofessional that her hair was bleached twice being a natural blonde anyway. That night she called me in a panic to say her scalp was weeping and she still felt unwell, she went to the doctor the next day and was diagnosed with a chemical burn and prescribed antibiotic cream. It took over 6 weeks for it to heal! I feel this salon could be a brilliant place to get your hair done but the staff need to re asses the way they are speaking to customers, do a more in depth consultantation and bin the deposit! Telephoned the salon in a panic and they saw us straight away and corrected what could have been a disastrous haircut. Will never go anywhere else again!
