I accidentally ordered the wrong colour skirt online and emailed immediately--no reply. I then ordered the correct one, assuming I could return the other. When both skirts arrived, neither was suitable, so I made the effort to visit the store in person--just one week after major surgery. I was told there were no refunds, only exchanges. The manager was polite and tried to help me find alternatives, and I eventually decided to keep one skirt. However, I was accidentally charged for it a second time--bringing my total spend to over $1,000. I immediately contacted the manager (the store had just closed), who acknowledged the error and gave me her mobile number to resolve it. What followed was a two-month back-and-forth of broken promises and delays. Eventually, they claimed the refund had been processed, but it never reached me. I even provided proof via my bank statements. They then refused to help further, telling me to "take it up with my bank." I only just received the refund--four months later. To make matters worse, a $100 t-shirt I exchanged for discoloured after the first wash. Jessie Boutique wouldn't help, and I had to go directly to the manufacturer, who thankfully resolved the issue right away. This store takes no accountability for their mistakes and offers shockingly poor customer service. A high-end price point should come with high standards. Sadly, that's not the case here.

The Nordstrom's anniversary sale going on so this was my first stop. The store is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. Three floors with cosmetics, designer handbags, fashion accessories, and women's shoes on the lower level. Second Floor is womens clothing and mens, children and home goods on the third floor. I saw a few things in the Anniversary catalog and wanted to see them in person. I still prefer buying in person. Picked up a couple of tops and had to order a pair of shoes because they were out of my size. The store wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon and customer service was above and beyond. This is one of the reasons I shop at Nordstroms.

Just purely kind people here. The Christian Louboutin store was at the Nordstrom entrance with a mini version mens CL shoe section on the other side. Love the red soles but too Euro for me. There are usually bigger in size, and are multi-story. They often have different, higher-end designer brands. The Marshalls in downtown Miami Beach is like the former, located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the same building as the Lincoln Dining Hall. It has very tall ceilings with a lot of natural light, creating a nice environment to browse. This store had plenty of inventory, and the clearance sections weren't too picked over when we stopped by on a Friday night. There are escalators and elevators to take you from floor to floor, though the down escalator from 3rd to 2nd was blocked off (forcing you to take the elevator down, which doesn't seem very efficient and an obvious fire hazard in case of emergency). The large space could easily absorb a lot more shoppers than there were, but the checkout queues wasn't very efficient (at one point, the line got more than 7 shoppers deep and took a while to checkout). A good place to stop by to pick up some clothes for your vacation if in the Miami Beach Area.

Absolutely horrible experience and now I am left with a 10% off coupon to a store I will never do business with again and a wait of 3-5 days to receive my money back. Update: I still have not received my refund, and they are blaming my bank. Common thieves dressed up as an "upscale" "trendy" department store. I bet the Soho Scammer shops here, that's more their type of customer.
