I went to the location today after having the Tanger Outlets team say that they are not familiar of a closure yet. The store was completely empty with signs on the door saying that they are permanently closed. It must have just happened recently. Saks OFF 5TH has been considered "the premier destination for luxury off-price fashion". They have offered a large assortment of high-end designers and everyday favorites at great prices. Saks OFF 5th has been considered a Saks Fifth Avenue outlet store since 1995 (following the footsteps of Saks Clearinghouse which opened three years earlier). This location was one of the four Arizona locations (three in the Greater Phoenix area). Recently as a part of their bankruptcy process, Saks decided to close most of their OFF 5th locations (and Nieman Marcus Last Call stores) while continuing to function otherwise as a company. Their website (https://www.saksoff5th.com) still has some items which are all up to 70% off. Their prices are considered "liquidation pricing." Recently, the bankruptcy process has been of particular interest to those American Express Platinum card holders, as they get $50 credit for purchases at Saks Fifth Avenue stores every six months, and if they purchase physical gift cards in the store, they can get the credit back that way, and the gift cards can be used at OFF 5th locations or online. I gave them two stars as Saks OFF 5th has been a great options for saving a lot while getting a lot for American Express Platinum card holders and every one else. At the same time, they closed and didn't tell anyone, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who drove quite a distance to find out they were closed (while making calls, checking websites, etc. before leaving home). read more

I just love Saks off Fifth because you can definitely find some gorgeous pieces for a fraction of the price although for some you still may be paying quite a bit yet mind you, know the brand before you judge saying they're charging too much!! I came here during the week to do an exchange for an item that I purchased from another outlet so I was very hopeful since I had a new selection to browse through! Upon entering I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who seemed to be the manager & a lovely salesgirl, they told me to take a look to see if I could find something that I liked. This store is very large but no it's not empty it's well stocked yet everything is nicely spaced out with clothes just not crammed in therefore you're able to walk through the store comfortably without bumping into each other. There were only a few other people shopping being that it was during the week about 45 minutes before closing! I went browsing in the large selection of clearance & final sale items because who doesn't love to save as much money as they can! After my husband found himself a shirt he came over to help me look. Then my hubby found this cutest cardigan hidden in the medium section because someone was possibly hiding it to come back to buy it because it wasn't in the small section where this cardigan belonged! Either way I loved the cardigan, thank goodness my husband knows my taste after all these years... lol because my exchange was complete. This Saks off Fifth always has something amazing & I just love it, not sure how anyone could disagree but everyone has their own opinion! First impression the store was very clean and organized, but pretty empty inside for the size of the store. We don't see any employees until we went to check out with a few things we found and they were all congregated together at the counter. Prices were steep on some things I felt. I am actually really upset about this to the point that I am putting a review because I normally won't go out of my way to do this. But I was so annoyed and upset to come home and take off the tag of a pair of boots to see that a new tag had covered up a clearance tag of $50 cheaper!!! My grandmas boots that she bought at the same time were the same situation her tag was $30 cheaper. I purchased a sweater that had a snag on it , I noticed it after my purchase . I came back a week later with my receipt and they would not exchange it without the tags. The person in charge was extremely rude as was his co worker. They seemed to get pleasure in not being able to help a customer with their attitude and giving me the wrong customer service number. I will never shop here again and will tell everyone of the poor customer service. Too bad I don't have a number to contact the owner as they wouldn't give me that . read more

This is a super large clean well organized store. We didn't see any employees, I did locate them at the counter. They had no issues answering questions. Prices didn't seem to reflect outlet savings and they didn't have any any inventory we were interested in. Still may be a great place for other to drop by in the area and see if anything speaks to you. read more

They closed the fitting rooms early so I couldn't try on the 2 sundresses I had spent a long time picking out. Their reason was that they were closing in a few minutes. Ok, no problem. I put back the dresses because I wasn't going to buy something I hadn't tried on, especially since one of them was a final sale. I happened to look at my phone on the way out and it was only 7:40. I guess they aren't too motivated to make sales. An announcement that the dressing rooms were closing soon would have been nice. I definitely won't be back to this location. read more

This store opened this year although the mall/outlet has been open...for 3. Even if you're not looking for anything specific, this is a great store to get ideas or a nice shoe, accessory, purse or even gourmet chocolate. Or lots more, as my list could go on & on. Endless notions. And at some kind of discount. While most prices are NOT bargains, if you know your prices or you know what you want, there are some great price points. Be ready to spend some time for the search tho. The tanger outlets offers a coupon book with $20 off of $125 at this store & multiple other coupons at the other stores - free for AAA cardholders or free coupon books for life at any outlet (who knew?!) with a one time $10 signup or $5 for a one time purchase. And the coupons in the book are good for the whole year unless you redeemed one! read more

Horrible experience last Sunday in the store. Store manager very rude during the return process. That's so sad to go to a store like this, and be treated like a garbage instead of a human being, especially by the store manager, which, by the way, doesn't have any idea how to do a return. She was the one that called the security on me and my son. Nothing new based on the review the store manager has!!!looks like it's a habit for her to call los prevention security guys to every customer that doesn't agree with her. Im going to start off with the disclaimer that i was with someone who had the intention to leave the store with something that didn't belong to them which is obviously default in the wrong, but when they left the item behind the employee,a big, spectacled,lumbering bully of an employee tackled him anyways and without cause proceeded to grind my friends face into the cement wall, pushed him to the ground, and shoved him all in an extremely violent and unjustified manner. They had their merchandise and regardless, it was way beyond any action called for. Meanwhile a female employee with long(ish)(thinning if you asked my opinion) brown hair is smugly staring me down giving me the finger-because all the while i was trailing behind with more and more alarm- and about the second time he pulls on my friends clothes ripping his shirt audibly i put myself physically between them and and he shoves me so hard I fall into the metal table/ chairs nailed to the ground. Recently stopped in with my son at the Tanger outlet location in Glendale Az. This place is pretty empty and what they do have is pricey. We saw a $700.00 pair of Fendi sneakers , if that's something you can use then this place might work for you. I prefer the Nordstrom Rack for treasure hunting and more selection. I would however take a look at the jewelry and watches if ever in the market for something like that, they did have a few interesting pieces of jewelry. We noticed the Balenciaga sunglasses we picked up had scratches on them, they don't keep them in a case. I recently purchased a similar pair of Balenciaga sunglasses for my son at the Nordstrom Rack. They keep most of the designer sunglasses in a case at the rack so they are in better condition without scratches. The handbag section is very underwhelming. The shoe section is the same with a few expensive designer shoes sprinkled in. I'm not sure if it was just that day but I probably would not rush back. read more

Was at this store today and was shocked to see how good the store was merchandised. Usually one of the worst merchandised store I go to. Seems as though the changes management which was good for merchandising but not customer service. Waited in line while there was three associates behind counter. I wasn't acknowledged at all. Two of the associates went back to floor while the other person was speaking on the telephone. After waiting over five minutes without being acknowledged I left merchandise. So I just rushed up to the store because the phone said they closed at 10pm and it's 9:40 and I was kicked out of the store and told they closed at 930. When I questioned them all three of the sales associates agreed amongst each other they were closed. The doors weren't closed when I arrived but they locked them while I was in the store. I wanted some joe jeans for tomorrow morning and now I can't get them. Very poor customer service closing early. Especially during the holidays. read more

This is a place where the more I go, the less excited I am to go back. Initially I thought it was a cool cornerstone of Tanger, but my enthusiasm is almost completely gone at this point. I consider this kind of retail experience somewhat of an apparel lottery, and that has inherently diminishing returns in a lot of ways. First, I approach this review as a male patron. It seems from quick glance that there is a bout a 1/3 to 2/3 split of male and female apparel. It may be better if you're looking for women's clothes, but I'll be honest and say that issue will not be covered in the scope of this review. So with that out of the way, what's actually here. The simplest answer to that question is inoffensive office apparel for the most part. Lots of light colored long sleeve dress shirts to chose from, especially on their clearance racks. And to their credit, the price for most of their items is reasonable, unless you pick up one of the few items that happens to be from a high profile designer. $90 Hugo Boss shirts? $180 Burberry Shirts? Kind of randomly shuffled in, and there usually isn't a wide range of sizes given the scarcity of those labels. They do have a pretty small section that hedges towards street wear type stuff, but the issue with that is the incredibly limited selection. Wearing flamboyantly branded shirts isn't exactly my style, but it may help you to know that something may be there for you. Shoes is the department where I believe this store is the weakest for men. It has this weird hodgepodge of dress shoes, and seemingly higher end Converse and Puma shoes. The MVP of the section is the Cole Haan shoes, because they're a good price for something that looks really slick and is super comfortable. With that being said, the randomness means that you can just go to the Cole Haan outlet in Tanger and have an easier time finding exactly what you want. I can't recommend this place at all on this front. I think the best way to sum up this place is that if you're looking for something other than a neutral colored dress shirt to wear under your suit, you can likely find a better selection elsewhere. If you're looking for basic office staples, I can easily see this being a place at least worth checking out. But as a company that provides luxury brands through their website and non-outlet locations, it doesn't live up to that reputation at all with their Glendale location. read more

Staff are not attentive to customers. For what it is, you would've thought that someone would be there to assist you, not at all. When I was there, we only saw about two employees for that entire store. If you are going here to find high-end items for a substantial discount, this is NOT the place to do so. Was trying to find some sunnies and quality shoes, but everything we found here is something we could have found at Ross. Even the items towards the front close to the cashier feel like Ross. Nothing here, except their locked up area towards the back if the store, screams Saks 5th. Would not recommend. read more

This store has the same feel as going to Ross. Very cold, shitty options and no service whatsoever. They have random items, random sizes at high prices. I like many other don't mind paying top dollar for items that are worth it along with great service to go with it. AT LEAST expect your employees to greet your customers. Older sales associate named Mabel had me wait in line for 6 minutes straight. There was 1 register and that was being used by another associate. She was telling other associates around her that she was leaving rather loudly. She would NOT make eye contact with me or assist on my payment. I could tell Mabel was trying to avoid me at all costs. The associate using 1 register was helping a Spanish speaking couple and was having trouble. Mabel told the associated try google translate! We all definitely heard that comment. Let's be honest, we all live for a great deal on a designer item. And although you are bound to find one in this store it truly is a bit of a hectic shopping experience. Went in for a designer purse and although I found a ton, they all were just piled on top of one another. Every shelf seemed so pick through it was unclear where the regular merchandise began and the clearance started. I felt like I was shopping at Marshall's. I expected better. The men's section is much better than the women's. And I found much more ladies clothes in extra small and small then medium and large. I wanted to so desperately purchase something but left empty handed. Kinda glad though because there was only one girl in the checkout area. Glad I decided not to buy any bag here because I ultimately went to Michael Kors and found a couple of things. Still eyeing the Karl Lagerfield white purse though. Had it not had a scratch on it from the way they are displayed, I may have purchased it. Had to think twice though at $179.99! Maybe next time. I will definitely give them a second chance. read more

This use to be a better store with more selections for men here at Westgate but it has gone down and so has the service. I just stood for 5 or so minutes to cash out and rhw girl was having some issues at the counter with a customer. Not one did she acknowledge me and atleast say I or someone would be right with you. She didnt even reach out to her co worker to say hey can you help this customer. She walked to the other side of the store to ask her something an do you think she saud anything to her? Oh well Im going back to Polo to pay a little bit more but I know the service will be hell of alot better!! read more

Saks Off 5th is one of my favorite stores, however whenever I stop in to this location the customer service is AWFUL. Listen, I know retail can be rough/boring/etc, but this is a nice and pretty expensive store and you'd expect to have some level of customer service. read more
