Ordered a dish I've never had -- stir fried shrimp with cashews, carrots and celery in brown sauce. Was a tad nervous about brown sauce, fearing it would be heavy (aka oxtails)! Nope! Brown sauce was wonderful and a wonderful addition to the dish. The shrimp, large, succulent and tasty! The meal rates. 5 star review. They lose a star because of the service. Once she delivered my meal, she never came back to check if all was okay. Once I finished the plate, rather than asking if I wanted anything else, she brought the check. Her loss and a loss for the restaurant as I intended to ask for a glass of wine. I will go back, and hopefully have a different, more attentive server. read more

This sushi spot has been a local favorite for almost a decade, and it's easy to see why. The food is always consistent and delicious!!!! Every time I come in, it tastes just as good as I remember. It's one of those places you can count on when you want sushi that hits the same way every single visit. The staff is also a big part of what makes this place special. They're genuinely sweet and welcoming, and they treat the locals like family. The vibe is warm, familiar, and comfortable, which is honestly rare these days. It is right in tradition square so the location is great to sip tea, and chat with friends! If you're not sure what to order, try the Volcano Roll and the Volcano Chicken. This is a go to spot for us since it's close to home. Although it's usually our go to takeout Thai place, we have gone in for lunch before. It's a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We have always been waited on promptly whether eating there or taking to go. Their lunch portions are large and have always given us more than one meal. They have some great sushi options as well. Nice casual place with a pleasant atmosphere that seems to be very popular with locals. There is a lack of mom & pop restaurants within about a 5 mile radius and the remaining box restaurants lack character as well. With that in mind I think most reviews are reviewing the atmosphere and location more than the food. However, the teriyaki salmon was made using a tomato based sauce with cumin. Wasn't teriyaki & hardly edible. If you scrapped off the top layer with the sauce and had just the salmon it was ok. The miso soup lacked flavor. Sushi rolls were just ok. Japanese / Thai We were walking the square in Tradition and noticed this little place with inside / outside dining - so we made plans to visit the following week. We did not see a reservation option on their website so just headed over- there is a basic "put your name on the list" setup when you walk in, and we really did not have to wait all that long for a table. Waiter was super cheery, and got us going with menus and drinks - the menu is somewhat scattered and it took us a few minutes to figure out the layout as they have the lunch and dinner items all together in there. We started with two special rolls and they came out in relatively quick fashion -no complaints, the sushi was fresh, and the rolls were well made: beauty & beast was very good. Volcano was average. We both opted for the Thai side of the menu for mains - I went with yellow curry w chicken, and my wife went with the massaman curry with chicken - both at Thai spice "5". The curries were both good- nothing outrageous - but absolutely solid as far as taste and presentation are concerned. Portions were enough for two meals. The spice however was more like a 3 on the heat scale, so a little disappointing. We were somewhat stuffed by that point so we called it a night. Overall a good experience and I would hit it again to try some of the Japanese menu stuff. Prices were average. Parking is scattered around Tradition. read more

Really wanted to like this neighborhood gem, but it was NOT good. Part of the issue was that I was dining with a complete lunatic, and he made the experience even worse...harassing the staff with repeated questions about soy and MSG (do you know what MSG is he asked multiple times...defining it over and over!)...hello - it is an Asian cafe...of course they know! The lunatic is a vegetarian (not a healthy one at all - he eats processed foods constantly) and we shared a stir fry dish, while he destroyed a veggie sushi platter (don't get me started on his lack of table manners). The stir fry dish was flavorless and overcooked. The simple salad was the highlight for me. The ladies room was disgusting. There are several varieties and you can mix some of the items. I posted a few photos for you to see what the Bento box is all about. They also had traditional Thai food. With our meals we were offered a soup or salad as well. They don't have a lot of seating available so come early if you want a table. We were the first in -- so glad we got there when we did because every table was taken by the time our meal came. Coming from Los Angeles, CA and trying all kinds of Japanese-style restaurants in Central & South Florida, Sake Too by far is the closest Japanese-American style Teriyaki & Sushi my son and I have ever tried while the 2 years we spent in Florida. Great food, excellent service and ambiance was reminiscent of Los Angeles mock Japanese cuisine establishments . The food was spot on. The ambiance also spot on. There's not too many places that I've experienced in the short time I spent in Port St.Lucie, Orlando , Sanford, Deland , Vero Beach , Melbourne, Sebastian and Fort Pierce that really had it fine-tuned to the saturated market in Los Angeles. With that said, Sake Too is well worth another visit if we're ever in the area again in the future. read more

Service is always good, attentative and willing to help get the food out on time etc. The only downside is if it's cold outside I can get a bit crowded and busy as the inside is limited seating. It's worth the wait though and truthfully we've never waited more than 10 minutes for a table. Come and try this place out you will love it. read more

Had dinner here recently due to a friends recommendation. I had high hopes due to the Yelp reviews, but unfortunately those expectations were not met. We started out with an order of shumai dumplings and Tom Ka soup. For the main course I ordered I ordered shrimp panang curry and my friend ordered the sweet n sour chicken. The curry was decent and the soup okay. The dumplings tasted like they had been frozen for a long time and has a strange texture. The icing on the cake, the service was rushed. Entrees came out a few minutes after the appetizers, and the check was dropped off while we were still eating. No offer to have dessert or refills on our drinks. So let me start out by saying the one star review is entirely for what I experienced tonight, the food is pretty good. This is my second time here.. So me & my kids dined in tonight (sat outside). We had the fried rice, ramen noodles and some sushi rolls and the food was great. I asked for the check & some to go boxes. I sent my teenage son in the restaurant with my debit card to pay for our meal, when he came back outside, he gave me a copy of the receipt, I said well I need to sign the receipt and put a tip, he said he did. He signed his name, but never filled in the tip or total. So I walked inside & said hey can I have my receipt? My son said he signed it, but he never left a tip, I'm so sorry. So a tall slender asian woman with black hair and a pink top (also my waitress), handed me my receipt but right before she did she scratched out something on it. So when I started to review it, I realize it said $12.71, which was one of the suggestions of gratuity on the receipt and I said well who wrote this, because my son said he never wrote a tip and she said well that's what we do here and I said no I work for a restaurant that's forgery. You can't just write in a tip. She goes well were not gonna enter it in the system. Nothing at that point made sense of what she was trying to explain to me after she was already caught in a lie. Meanwhile, I cleaned off the table, stacked all the dishes together and left it as clean as we could so she wouldn't have to do much cleaning. I'm more annoyed that you thought you tried to take advantage of a teenager that never thought to fill in the tip and total amount on the receipt and just signed his name... My advice to anybody paying with a credit card here always check your receipt.. I really didn't expect this from a business in Tradition! read more

Still a great place. Their Thai food is good - love the Tom ka soup - and sushi is generally enormous. Only thing I've found disappointing so far are the Thai spring rolls. Seemed like from frozen as the filling was just mush. Service could also be a tad better. Ate there early one evening recently and sat near the window. The staff kept coming by to lift the shades even though we asked them not to because the sun was still bright. It became a silent battle. Horrible dining experience and service. They brought out the wrong dish, had to wait for them to bring out the right order. They forgot to bring out sriracha sauce when I specifically asked for it. They never offered or gave us drink refills. Obviously did not tip. When the waitress took my bill and saw there wasn't a tip, she confronted me and said we depend on tips. I said sorry, I'm not leaving a tip. The waitress pulled her manager into this and she wanted a reason on why I didn't leave a tip and then she demanded that I leave a tip. I refused and said it's the discretion of the customer to leave a tip. She said don't come back unless you leave a tip. COMPLETELY RUDE!!! I definitely will not be back EVER AGAIN!!!! I've been here for dinner and for take out. Interior is ok, clean but could use some organizing. Outside tables are comfortable weather permitting. Their pad Thai ilacks the layers of flavors needed for an excellent basic Thai dish. The same applies to their nam sod. It should be much better with richer flavors. Their yum goong salad was good. Prices are reasonable but I would gladly pay more for much better, richer and more authentic flavors. Service is friendly and efficient. Thankfully, this restaurant does NOT charge its customers for using credit cards like others in this neighborhood. I easily avoid patronizing those few restaurants. Stopped in for dinner last night, along with our neighbors. Truth be told, my wife and I have eaten at Sake Too many times over the years. Our neighbors had never been, so we wanted to introduce them to the place. The food here is always the best! Last night, two of us ordered sushi/sashimi, one ordered a seafood curry and one spicy rice with chicken. All of the entrees came with either a soup or ginger salad to start and we all chose the salad, based on my recommendation. It is such a simple lettuce salad, but the ginger dressing is the best I have had anywhere. I have tried several others and nothing compares! As the dinners arrived, I must say that presentation was excellent. The sushi and sashimi platters were just perfectly laid out. My platter included tuna, salmon, whitefish, shrimp and a roll. There was so much, I could not finish and sent the rest home with my neighbors. The seafood curry looked fantastic and will be the next menu item I order there. My neighbor cleaned his plate and thoroughly enjoyed his meal. My wife had the spicy rice and always raves about all the food here. Her meal lived up to expectations. We drank a few hot sakes with dinner as we sat at our outside table, thoroughly enjoying ourselves. After reading this far, you may wonder why I did not give 5 stars. The ambiance of Sake Too is not high end, usually not quiet and not the most romantic place in the area. 1st time at Sake Too. The service was amazing - 5 stars! Everyone was very sweet and attentive. The food came out super fast, and we had barely just finished our starters when they came with the main course. (Note: Wait and order the main after you finish the starter!) We had the Tom Kha soup, veggie soup and gyoza - all very good. Spring rolls were so so (too much dough). Sushi was okay. The spicy noodles were fantastic, but, unfortunately, not spicy at all. Be aware if you order the red curry! It's not like any red curry we've ever had ... the taste was very strange. I'm not sure if it was supposed to taste that way, but we didn't like it... also they put pineapple in it too! Ambiance was nice and fortunately we came early because the restaurant got full very quickly even on a regular, rainy Wednesday evening. read more
