(She was also willing to drive down for a small fee to cover her time, but was willing to use photos -- and request a few new ones where needed.) The result was gorgeous and really made the house look beautiful for selling. She has a real artistic sense, which helps a lot. Plus, she was fantastically nice to work with and kept in good communication when the weather presented some (very understandable) difficulties. Good deal all around.

This was mainly due to the professionalism and understanding of Kate Carlson the co-owner. She was extremely patient with us and went all out to solve our search. The furniture and drapes.....oh the drapes!!! they are outstanding and beautiful. Lara was also a great help to us and patiently listened to our requirements. We love all that we have acquired from them. Even the gentleman who came and installed everything was extremely helpful. We have recommended Katie and her Company very often. She seemed nice and organized enough when we met. My fiancé and I liked her style, and she promised full service wedding planning, decoration, and $500 worth of florals. The price was a bit high, but felt worth it for all the services being offered. The first sign something was wrong was at our second meeting. She had lost all of the notes from our first meeting and we had to go back over everything. Now I know she's only human, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and kept working with her. During that meeting, I let her know my venue would be having an open house within the following weeks, she said we could go together for a walkthrough. A week before the open house, she let me know she couldn't come after all as she had double booked herself. After this, I asked her through messages for help with some wedding planning items (the rehearsal dinner that my father was wanting book). She told me it could wait until closer to the date. This is also not the only time she said this. She responded with this most times I asked for specific plans for anything. I told her I was not comfortable with that and would like to plan things early so that we had time to plan everything properly. She said we have plenty of time. A couple weeks later, I asked her to do just decor, because we did not feel that she was a competent planner. She agreed, so we let some time pass before contacting again to go over details of decoration. Not only was it difficult to plan a meeting time because she is busy or out of town often, but when we finally landed on an agreeable time and date, I let her know I would want to go over specifics and she said she doesn't do any sort of design plans or mock-ups whatsoever! She said we would just have to trust her! She expects us to be okay with going into the wedding day with no plan? No confirmation of where things will go, what items will be used, nothing. Of course I was not comfortable with that so I told her we would look for services elsewhere. I asked for a refund, and she was only willing to give us back half of what we had paid her ($1000 so far.) Now I find myself 3 months before wedding date with no decorations, missed all the good deals, and am going to have to take her to court to get a full refund. Like I needed that extra stress. Don't hire her if you want any kind of organization or a plan.
