Asked for more "mahogany" or "eggplant" rich purple brown as my last color had washed out to more blonde than I wanted. (Mostly my fault as I had to delay my visit due to changed doctor appointment) I also asked for my hair to be left long enough in back to flip up instead of pixie cut from prior. Kari seemed to understand what I was looking for. I even showed her two pictures, one of my prior color, one of someone I knew with that same color. After rinsing color out she took me back to her chair. As she dried my hair it was light bright purple!!! Not dark. Not professional. It looked like a teenager's Halloween color! I have had many colors so I didn't freak out. I just told her it wasn't the color I wanted. It wasn't mahogany. When I asked her what could she do as it was way to light purple, she seems a little less happy but still said she could easily work on it. She put a "red glaze" on it and washed it again. I looked tons better. So She started cutting it. Dried it. Started spraying a "wax" on it. I was looking in mirror and asked her if she was going to be able to flip up the back. She looked at me like I was stupid! She started arguing with me about barely cutting any hair so it would flip. I was shocked at how fast she started fighting with me about the color and style being exactly what I asked for. I reminded her of what she and I spoke of in the beginning. She just kept arguing with me. I was so embarrassed. She was blaming me because I had trimmed about 1/2 an inch on my sides when I couldn't get in to see her. She told me that she was fixing my "hack job". But she kept saying she barely took any off!!! She kept saying it was what I wanted. At this point I started to cry and just said that maybe we weren't a good fit. Her other customers were staring at me. She agreed and took off my cape. The color was pretty but my hair had no shape at all!!! It looks like a bowl on my head with too much on top and too little in back!! She then asked her sister (the other stylist there) for her opinion. Her sister obviously told me that I was incorrect and got exactly what I wanted. I kept showing her the picture of what I had asked for. Then Kari's next customer got in on it. As she hadn't been there to see the light purple color I got before she arrived SHE stared telling me that I had mahogany hair!! I was upset about Kari not listening to me! Not the corrected color!! Both Kari and her sister argued with me about the cut. I said I wasn't going to argue anymore. I just wanted to get out of there. I told her that I wasn't paying $200 for hair that I had to put a hat on and go somewhere else to get it fixed!! I had no intention of asking for free services! Nor did I say anything like that. Kari immediately says "of course, you think you're going to get free services after all I've done". I said I absolutely did not say anything like that and had no intention of not paying. I just expected some type of discount off of the charge since I would have to go somewhere to get it fixed! I gave her my Amex. I asked her how much she was charging me. She said "$130 and I just gave you a great discount, you're welcome!" WTH? Is this how professional people act??? Do not go here unless you expect to have any day in how your hair comes out! Horrible experience. I'm sitting in my car crying because it looks so bad I can't run the errands I need to after.
