These group settings are great if you just want to better understand the concepts of your class. The only one on one sessions that are available for the subjects I need are through zoom, which is the only downfall I have with the tutoring options available. Being able to collaborate with other students who have taken or are currently taking the class is very helpful in better understanding my coursework. I love using this resource when I really want to reinforce the topics that my professor talked about in class. I also have learned some great skills from the students who have take this class on how to better understand the material that is talked about in the class. Overall I would continue using this service for any other class to help me succeed in my course work.

Extremely disappointed in this short lived experience. To start, before choosing this school I had…read moreinitially done my own extensive research in Montessori education curriculum as well as individual schools in my area. The idea was to find a safe environment where lots of play happens but education is also a priority. With that being said I should also state my daughter who turned three the first day of school had never been in a daycare or school system. She has always been kept home and has limited experience with any out of home programs, so obviously I kept that in mind when choosing Montessori and made sure they were informed of this after choosing. At the start everything was fine, the "play date" they set up before your child's first day of school was a glorified check drop off at best. They ask some questions and let them play with a group of kids on the playground. The school is extremely small with only two class rooms that split ages from under three and over three. The over three class room ages probably ranging from 3-5 from what I could tell, each class having 4 teachers each. All in all my daughter seemed excited, we were excited everything seems great, moving on. The first week comes and goes with only a few hiccups to our knowledge other than some potty accidents. My daughter had just turned three and had been potty trained almost two months before we started something every teacher was made aware of. Here comes week two, we are are happy going to school, happy during pick up. There's absolutely no inclination to us that she is unhappy. At most the "observational feedback" the teachers would give us was positive with the occasional "we need to work on this but otherwise today was good". Great we can do that! By Thursday of week three, one of the four teachers I rarely saw or spoke to is now telling me my daughter is saying she's unhappy, that she doesn't like to sit for lessons and that they think she is not a good fit and "needs more movement". They asked if she acts sad to come to school, I said quite the opposite and I had almost three weeks worth of before school photos and videos of her singing, smiling and ready to go. I asked when she acted that way and it typically always revolved around being told to do or not do something..... interesting right? That a three year old would be unhappy with authority. By the way all these things we WANT to work on with her. After this meeting I took the "need for more movement" seriously and signed her up for after school dance classes and TOT basketball to help but by Friday of week four I'm getting a call at work that my child is not a fit for their school and we needed to find alternative care. While they state in the phone conversations and emails that they're doing what is best for the child I really don't see how you even had time to understand what that means for her. My child was expected in 15 school days to adapt to a brand new environment, brand new people and schedule seamlessly to a standard we were never even made aware of and really going against everything Montessori philosophy is built on. I specifically chose Montessori for the hands on and active approach knowing my child would enjoy and need movement, either this school has its own idea of Montessori or they're not equipped for the classroom age ranges and individual needs. I especially don't see how any child who is hyperactive or on the spectrum would thrive. The one positive and reason for the two stars was Ms Quanesha! Thank you for always being sweet with my girl, she was always happy to see you and we will miss you!

We've been with First Adventures for the last five years and have trusted them with both of our…read moreboys since they were infants (eldest is now in Kinder, youngest is 2). We did try other daycares in the beginning but they were not the fit we were looking for. I can't say enough about the director, Zahia, and the owner, Marie, for creating a place that feels like a small community where our kiddos are treated like family. Their staff is well trained and they run a tight ship so that they can be consistent, thoughtful and connected with the kids. Both of our boys learned to communicate in Spanish and sign language and, as a testament to their curriculum, our Kindergartener started off his school year prepared and able to write well. The cost per month is probably under what they could charge compared to other facilities for their attention to detail and care. Without any family close by, I'm grateful for their team and communication in helping us raise our kiddos.

The center has a very pleasant atmosphere with playgrounds on the facility that have lots of trees. The three and four year old wing is being completely renovated. The director has a very pleasant and professional disposition and the teachers are always friendly and interacting with the children. My daughter absolutely loves to go there. It seems like she fit-right-in! They provide breakfast and lunch and are on the food program. They have a curriculum schedule for each age group so as to provide age appropriate activities. They are bilingual as well. I would highly recommend Kiddie Castle to anyone that needs a good daycare.
