Food was pretty decent! Only complaint was personally thought red beans had too much hot sauce in it. Service was fine, nothing to write home about. Asked for recommendations and guy was kind of like I don't know. Ambiance was fun - went next door and sat on patio with live music. Would come back again.

    Crawfish étouffée (special)

I don't know how this place isn't packed to the brim. I opted for the mushroom and kale étouffée and I can't tell you how impressively flavorful it is even though it's vegan. You can't even tell it wasn't made with some savory meat broth. The crawfish étouffée is also so full of crawfish and the right amount of spice (remember to fish out that bay leaf). The chicken and sausage gumbo was also so well seasoned without being too salty which I think is the artful line between a good and incredible gumbo. The bread to dip is also fluffy and lightly toasted with butter. I'd rank the étouffées over the gumbo if I had to pick. Now I'm going to wish I lived closer to Knoxville to eat this all the time. Perhaps it's for the best for my wallet.

Step into a taste of Louisiana at Saint Lucille's while sipping on a French 75 or Hurricane. My favorite dishes on the menu are the Mushroom & Kale Etoufee and BBQ shrimp appetizer, but you really can't go wrong. Don't miss out on any of the jambalaya specials, pasta specials, and brunch. This is a hidden gem in Knoxville. Fantastic service.

We will definitely be back to Saint Lucille's! I've craving the barbecue shrimp since we left. The muffeleta was so good and the perfect amount of salty. Cajun pasta was good and spiced without being overly spicy. Not pictured but we also had a small side of red beans and rice. It had sausage and was well seasoned. A beautiful place with amazing food and a great vibe.

A complete gem of a culinary experience. We happened upon this Cajun influenced eatery at Emory Place and enjoyed every delicious bite of the savory dishes we ordered. We ordered the Crawfish dip,, mufalletta, and red beans and rice. Delicious! The service was wonderful and atmosphere made you feel like you were eating on Bourbon Street. This is a must for your Knoxville dining list!

Everyone needs to try Saint Lucille's! We loved it. Here's the Muffuletta w/ red beans and rice. Out of sight! Great atmosphere and friendly service.

I'm from New Orleans and when I say that I mean my parents still have the oldest Mardi Gras mask shop in the French Quarter since 1984. My dear friend plays jazz music at Preservation Hall and I own a furniture store where I furnished Fat's Dominos entire house after Hurricane Katrina. My friend's family owns Perrone & Sons which partnered with Progress Grocery over 100 years ago to create the first Muffaletta sandwich in New Orleans. They produce and sell two million mini Muffaletta sandwiches a year! I was very hesitant to eat here but LOVED the food! The rest beans and rice was delicious! One of the best I ever had. The Muffaletta had a delicious crispy bun and the BBQ shrimp was yummy!! I would love to see them serving Beignets as deserts in the future. Great job and hope to be back again

This is essentially a nice bar with a good number of tables. You order at the bar and then they bring you your food to your table. Food was really good, I had shrimp and grits and my husband had the muffuletta sandwich with Cajun slaw. Some of the best of each we've had in Knoxville. Definitely recommend this place and would like to try some of the other things on their menu

    Hot beef po boy

This sandwich definitely reminded me of back home in Louisiana, I shall be back soon.

    Chicken gumbo. Darn tasty

It was more packed than I had ever seen (I'm guessing due to the holiday). We got there and were told 35-45 minutes and given a beeper. We went to sit in the car since there wasn't really anywhere else to sit. Working five minutes of getting to the car the beeper went off so we shut the car off, got out, locked it and went through parking to the front hostess area. They looked at the beeper and the list and told us they made a mistake so back to the car we went. About 30 minutes later the beeper went off and we were seated near the bar in the last booth by where everyone goes in and out of the bar. Or waited came out and took our drink order and my son had noticed the shark bite cocktail so we asked if they could make a virgin drink. It was horrible. So sweet he couldn't drink it at all. I tried it and agreed. It tasted like a slightly tart sugar water. We didn't complain because we did ask for the drink. Then we ordered our meals. My son got the Gator plate with fries which was perfect and he loves. I ordered 1 1/2 lbs of snow crab legs in a garlic butter sauce (which amounts to 3 clusters). It came with three sides since I ordered an extra half pound. Potatoes, corn and sausage. The seafood bread was amazing! If you go make sure to try it!!! Our meals were brought out. As I mentioned my sons was perfect. I noticed mine wasn't as hot as usual and figured as busy as they were it sat for a bit longer before being brought to the table. I've been eating crab all my life so I'm not new to how to eat it or remove the shells to get to the meat. As I carefully tried to snap the shells, they weren't breaking as they should and there was no getting any meat at all from the first two smaller sections. In the larger sections they wouldn't crack. Tried to use the metal crackers but it just squished it. I used the plastic tool which didn't work ands then used the metal fork. The meat wouldn't come out. It was completely stuck to the inside of the shell where I had to scrape it out with my fingernails. The claws were just add bad. I still kept trying while waiting on the waitress. When she got there I asked how they were cooked and she told me boiled in extremely hot water with fire. I told her what was going on so she went and got gloves and started trying to break my crab open. She wasn't able to get them out either so she went and told the manager. By that time I was done messing with them. He came over and I again explained what was going on. He offered me more cream or a discount. I should've taken the crab and brought them home but I chose the discount. I bagged up the two clusters to bring home to attempt to finish cooking them in hopes they'd be edible. When I got the bill, $7.00 was talked off for over $55 of crab. I felt extremely insulted. That didn't even cover my son's horrible drink but was supposed to make my Mother's Day meal better? We really loved this place but now I don't know if I'll go back. I'm not one of those people that complains all the time. I'm pretty sure if my husband was with me we wouldn't have gotten treated like that. Just an update, I steamed the legs and they came out perfect! I wish I had brought the rest home and just did it myself but since I paid for cooked crab legs I figured that's what I was going to get.

We came on a very busy Saturday night (weekend of Dogwood Festival, theatre night, and prom…read morenight). Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music. Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!
