For anyone wondering, standard poodles are often said to be the most hypoallergenic (allergy friendly) breed because they have hair instead of fur and they naturally have low dander. Standard poodles are excellent working dogs and I'm considering a service poodle now because of Edna. Bonus -- Edna is so clean and well groomed she is happens to be the softest dog I have ever pet! You can tell the owner put a lot of heart and and soul into the look of the place. Hannah was very sweet. She listened to what I wanted and didn't get "scissor happy" with my long hair. I asked for an inch and a half off, some long layers , and face framing. She did just that. Styled my hair the way I asked as well. I felt beautiful leaving the salon. The reason I docked 1 star from the review is for 2 reasons. The first being that I felt it was the most expensive "trim" haircut I have ever paid for ($97). The second being that the owner does bring her large dog into the establishment and lets it run free while clients are in the salon. The dog was fairly well behaved and didn't try and jump on me or anything like that. But it did approach me at my salon chair. So if you were allergic to dogs or afraid of them, this may not be the place for you. Not that the dog being there would have deterred me from coming but I would have liked that to be communicated with customers prior to booking just from a courtesy standpoint if clients were allergic or afraid of dogs.

Things about Shan: -she's very professional. If you've made an appointment she will always be on time -she remembers things about you (hair color, length, style preferences). (But she's so good at knowing what I love, she doesn't even need to look back at those notes anymore). Going to Shan is like affordable HairApy -- (a great cut and someone to listen) -she's flexible. Shan is willing to come in earlier than normal to fit you in if that works best for your life. It's upscale-ish, but not snoody -they offer tea, water, coffee for their clients -in addition to hair, they offer massage, tanning and mani/pedi's I was super impressed with the space and wouldn't trust anyone but Shan to do my hair!
