I can't wait for my hair to grow out so I can see her again! The salon is super cute and cozy and the energy that Shannon and the stylists share is incredible. Poppy&Rod is up on the trends and knows how to give you a flattering cut while keeping your goals in mind. I'm so happy to have found this salon! I love the atmosphere and decorations! The small touches around the salon make it feel both cozy and luxurious. PS - I am disabled and I have been considering a service dog to help me physically/emotionally. The owner was gracious enough to demonstrate the disability "tricks" that Edna, a Disability Service Dog, can perform when she is Working at the Salon. This made me feel so welcome and I appreciated this so much. For anyone wondering, standard poodles are often said to be the most hypoallergenic (allergy friendly) breed because they have hair instead of fur and they naturally have low dander. Standard poodles are excellent working dogs and I'm considering a service poodle now because of Edna. Bonus -- Edna is so clean and well groomed she is happens to be the softest dog I have ever pet! My hair is really challenging because I have a LOT of it and most people find it difficult to work with. Not Glynnis! She's the only person I trust to deal with my mane of hair. I of course love that it is an Aveda salon - smells amazing and works so well for my hair type. Prices are in the moderate range but affordable considering the high quality. On a personal note, I cannot stress enough how friendly and caring everyone is here. After being a client here for almost 5 years, Glynnis always asks how graduate school is going for me and asks me questions about life in general. I was at the salon when I received my first residency interview invitation earlier this month, and they helped me celebrate with a glass of champagne and of course a fabulous haircut! Personal touches like that go far with me. Getting my hair done is always a treat for me given my limited graduate student funds, so I really appreciate the quality, personal service here.
