Inmates that did things they needed to do to survive. The living conditions are unhumanly. it is so cold that their body parts are going numb. They have acknowledged the fact that the heat isn't working but continue to let it blow out ice cold and won't offer extra blankets socks or any thing to keep them warm while something is messed up IN THEIR GOVERNMENT BUILDING. but the floors that they actually work on have heat. They also have inmates sleeping on the floor or plastic bins. Sleeping on an ice cold floor while there is no heat one super thin blanket and a pillow if your lucky. Their tablets not working half of the time so they have no contact with their loved ones AND no money to buy food. The inmates as of today have not been out of their cell in 4 days. They have been surviving in less than freezing temperatures and inhumane condition. Most of these "criminals" are in there for things like traffic tickets that they missed court for, crimes they didn't have anything to do with, and simply being held for another county. On top of everything they will not answer their phones for a single person. I called about a week ago with a question about adding money to an inmates account and got hung up on.

It was all very easy and took about 25 minutes total. We went ahead and ordered an additional copy, so make sure you bring extra cash if you want copies. They also have a selfie area complete with a flower bouquet and an arch with flowers on it. This was just about the best experience I think you can have inside that building!

Truth is, I'm not a cougar, I'm still a puma... and no, I don't get my kicks on the weekend by picking up young boys. I, too, was once in college and can remember what dating those young in's was like. No thanks! My car was hit while parked at Kemper Art Museum. I had left it there overnight and came back the next day to pick it up - and there was a police department business card on my windshield. So I gave the number a call on Monday morning. I was not happy to be dealing with campus police. When I was in college, this was the worst group of people to have to deal with! And yes, I did get in trouble with the law a few times in college. Officer Paul O'Donnell was the person I've been dealing with for the most part. He was nice, efficient and I think the report has been properly filed. Just waiting for a copy so we can get the insurance claim filed. It was very nice of the person who hit my car to call an officer and report the situation. I'm still not exactly sure what happened, but feel pretty damn lucky that an honest person hit my car (vs. some jerk who would just pull away and pretend that nothing happened). I do need to stop by and get the report, but so far my experience with this campus department has been pleasant. Will keep you posted if that changes!

The spot is inside the garage and you just call the number and route yourself to the correct branch. A few minutes later I was driving away with my book and I didn't even have to leave the car!

I walked past it each morning as it stands between where I was staying and my office this week. There is some video online of the fountain with water and it's very lovely. The sculpture depicts six slender ballerinas posed in "grant battement," a classical ballet position meaning "great brush off the floor." They are bronze and have the usual green tint that would be expected. They were installed in 1990, dedicated to Dance Saint Louis and are on loan to the art council.
