I had the absolute pleasure of going along for the launch of this adorable boutique last week and I couldn't help but fall in love with everything this little gem stands for. I had the opportunity to speak with the team who have brought Saint Genevieve to life and their genuine and heartfelt commitment to bring sparkle to the the East End had me all gooey inside.
While you Yelpers will know I'm more Snaffled-From-Oxfam than Designer-Vixen, I instantly loved the eclectic mix of styles, vibrant colours, ultra-feminine shapes and edgy embellishments on pieces all lovingly gathered from smaller/independent brands. From simple cardis and blouses to all-out-sequinned-green-and-candy-floss-pink mini dresses, a lot of thought has been put into this collection. As a curvy girl who LIVES AND DIES in midi length, the hem lines are too high for me - but I realise that Wednesday Adams is not everyone's modesty barometer.
So, if you're off to Tibo or drooling for Dennistoun Bar-B-Que - or just on the hunt for a super cute party frock - be sure to pop into Saint Genevieve; a welcome dazzler now home on Duke Street. read more
