For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. There is a dedicated desk in the clothes and electrical area that can help you with any stock that isn't out on display. It has a large fruit and veg section as well as a bakery but the frozen food isle are not that big. Good place to do your weekly shop as you have a marks and Spencer next door and the petrol is always at a reasonable price compared to other stations. Staff are also helpful and friendly.

They do sometimes have some real good reduced price bargains around 23:00. The cafe also has some good bargains food wise which help fill the gap when you decide on an impromptu shopping session. The store itself is not the prettiest and can sometimes look quite scruffy, however being such a big store, it is understandable and ASDA offer cheaper shopping, they pull their customers back with the reduced prices. All in all this Walmart store has everything one could ever need under one roof. There are many roll back price bargains on offer all the time and generally their prices are cheaper than most of their competitors.

At the back are shelves full of packs of herbs and spices of varying sizes and types. Some you'll have heard of, many you won't. If you've ever had a recipe you've been dying to try that needs something like lemon grass that's virtually impossible to find in your everyday supermarket (and often even then the price is usually pretty extortionate) then Central's your place. It's also a fantastic source of frozen fish other than your bog standard cod or haddock, such as red mullet. There's a good vegetable section although if you know what you're cooking in advance some of those ingredients can be found cheaper elsewhere (most of the major supermarkets sell mooli (long white radish) and fresh ginger nowadays). If you're someone who's careful about best before dates then it's worth checking them first on some products here as they can sometimes be a bit close.
